Great performance
The module arrived promptly and well packaged. This tiny board module measures 14.2mm x 25.6mm and comes with a pin header pre-soldered.The silkscreen is very clear ad easily readable and the pin markings are on both sides of the board. The overall build quality of the module is good: SMD parts are properly aligned, there is no excess solder or solder flux. The PCB corners are rounded, it may seem like a minor detail but rounded corners are great because it makes the module that bit nicer to handle and also gives a little more clearance when fitting in tight spaces. And this microphone is meant to fit into tight spaces. With good quality components and solid connections, this microphone gives the impression of enhanced ( super) hearing. The MAX9814 chip can drive small headphones easily, all that is required is a DC decoupling capacitor on the “out pin” to be connected in series with the input of the headphones.I have also attached a snip of a simple Arduino based code plotting the analogue output of the microphone. Not having really worked with audio things before, I was really impressed by the performance of the automatic gain feature with no extra settings needed. It works out of the box.One more detail that I noticed is that the actual microphone capsule is not sitting on the PCB, it is raised at an offset via its two connection pins. This may improve the performance/noise immunity of the microphone.

👍
It works with Esp32 development board. I’m running Wled sound reactive firmware to run LED lights and this mic works fantastic for this. Small form factor and easy to use. Well recommended for DIYers.

Used to give a DMX desk an independent sound input
Supplied with 5V from an existing PSU (not supplied) and dropped the voltage using a couple of diodes to give about 4V. Added a pot to the output to give about 50% going to the DMX controller. AGC works well and triggers light changes in my use case. Works over a wide range of sound levels. Not used for audio to “listen” to, so can’t comment on sound quality. Seller forwards a link after purchase with the manual.Great little PCB and minimal messing about to get a really good result. The main benefit is isolation electrically from the sound system meaning I don’t need to connect the lights and sound system using a cable.

So simple to use with Arduino
The kit was delivered promptly and I just had to solder the header pins so I could plug it into my breadboard. After patching in Vcc, Gnd and Analog signal to my Arduino Nano I was able to load the test sketch and in less than 10 minutes I had the serial monitor and plotter showing input from the microphone.I'm going to use this with a relay to trigger a light when ambient noise exceeds a certain threshold.

Easy to configure and use.
Detecting sounds with an arduino, or as a line level mic for an analogue project, this is a handy thing to have in your tinkerers' parts box. Breadboard friendly of course.

High noise level, low to no output
I don't know what I did wrong, if anything. I got a full return on mine.

Perfectes. Molt bona sensibilitat.
The media could not be loaded.
