Excellent Pre Styler
I have to say that this is a great product, I use this as a pre-styler as it's not really meant for thick curly/wavy hair, or at least the way that I love to style my hair. However, this combined with the pomade fiber cream is an excellent combination.I usually just place a dime sized dot on before I go to bed, which allows the product to thicken my hair overnight, and then in the morning I use the fiber cream and I love how my hair looks.There is no scalp itch, nor does it dry out my scalp. With the combination of both products it holds my hair all day. I am an executive chef and I sweat all day and it still holds even after using a hairnet. Also, when I swear, it doesn't irritate my eyes like other products, plus it washes off without any issues.Now, when it comes to scent, I'm really not a fan of the scent, but the fiber cream over powers it which is perfect because I love the scent of the cream.Now, as I age and become closer to 50, my hair is thinning, and this cream truly does the job of holding the thinning due to its superior thickening ability.A little goes a long way, I can even get away with less than a dime sized dab.All in all, this is a great product that I recommend.

Might not buy again
I would give this more like a 3.8. Works fine and scent is nice. I know for professionals this might be a medium hold, but for pedestrians, I think this is more of a strong hold, so use less. Still a little early, but don't know if I would buy again.

My stylist recommended this stuff but I did not want to pay the salon prices. So glad I found it her for less than half the price. Works great!

It is similar to REUZEL Clay Matte Pomade but has slightly less hold and has far worse smell
I had used REUZEL Clay Matte Pomade before purchasing this product. I had loved the REUZEL Clay Matte Pomade but I was hoping for something that would be a little bit more pliable on wet hair. I thought that this product would solve the issue because it is more liquid-y. It is noticeably more pliable indeed; however, the smell is not great. I liked the subtle vanilla smell of REUZEL Clay Matte Pomade. This one, however, has a very stereotypical masculine beauty product smell. So, I won't be using it.
