Do not sneeze lest you send it flying out of your hand never to be seen.Very small bottle but very small tablets.Reviews feel consistent to me - at first the "licking dried blood" taste is minimal. But whoa, Nelly! Once swallowed, it can have a powerful iron taste. I followed a reviewers advise to take with a large glass of water or something. I drink with a full glass of water and chug it. Do not stop. Do not pass Go. Just pop in mouth and drink 500 ml of water at least. Maybe if you are lucky, 200 ml - but hey, hydration is important!I have, over a short period, found these far more effective than the larger ferrous female tablets my GP prescribes on the NHS. From experience, I find the NHS tablets larger, not nice to swallow, a bit constipating, and it seems to take longer for the iron to build up again and be usable.I have only taken these a few days and DANG, I already feel a bit clearer and have a tiny bit if energy again. A tiny bit is very noticeable when you have been suffering iron defiency anemia (and for me, abnormal haemoglobin/red blood cells.)It claims to be more bioavailable which I believe from my limited experience. It beats the liquid stuff (argh so nasty) and it seems to be out performing good ol ferrous fumate.I doubt I will need to update. I can say even in a short period, the result is noticeable. Value for money and the claims seem legit so far. Just drink plenty of something to make sure you have cleared it down to the stomach or you may well have a lingering nasty taste. Easy to fix just by drinking more than a sip or mouthful.

1st time trying these after years on ferrous fumarate and very impressed. No constipation, no black stools. All awful side effects of iron fumarate non existent with these tablets.Other than, and as others mentioned, slight iron taste lasting for literally a second, super happy, no complaints.

I have no reason to believe these tablets to be better or worse than others. They certainly seem to be excellent value for money.BUT— The label claims them to be high strength 28mg. This is per SERVING of their recommended daily dose of 2 tablets — ie. each tablet is 14mg and NOT 28mg which the label suggests.FURTHERMORE— The NHS website recommends 8.7 mg per day and states " taking 17mg or less of iron supplements is unlikely to cause harm" AND that taking an excess can very definitely cause harmful side effects.WHY then is this company recommending 28mg per day - 3 times NHS advised dose and nearly twice the dose below which NHS think harmful effects unlikely? A cynic may think they just want to sell twice as many pills.

Works well, less side effects than prescription Upton supplement.
