Bought this for my neighbour whose lounge carpet had been "got at" by her dog at the threshold. Removed the old threshold and fitted this so that it covered the damage. Very easy to cut and fit and a really nice finish to the threshold. Saved hundreds for a new carpet and you'd never know. Just be careful to tighten the screws gently and evenly or you could distort the plate, but that would be the same for any screw down threshold.
