NO Signal Conversion Function - Read the Fine Print
I bought this to try and hook up an older DVD player to a newer TV. It did not work. Not the products fault though, I didn't read the fine print that there is no signal conversion. I did manage to find the right product that worked though:RCA to HDMI Converter, Composite to HDMI Adapter Support

Did not work with older Home Theater
Did not Work.New Samsung TV has 2 HDMI inputs and one HDMI Output. No RCA ports on the TV. Trying to connect to older Sony home theater that has several outputs but not HDMI. THis cable appears well made and I spend several hours working through menus on the TV and researching how to set it up.I am trying to get the signal to from HDMI to RCA (the correct direction) but in the end, was not successful. THinking the output is digital and needed input is analog?Finally got a bluetooth to RCA converter (TV has bluetooth) and that worked.I plan to return this cable.

Does not work with older DVD or VCR
I ordered this to use an older VCR. I was unable to get a signal through to the TCL 4K TV. tried an older DVD player and same result, no signal. I think the technology in these new TVs are not backwards compatible. But then TV shows channels not in HD.

I'm sure it works, my tv just doesn't.
Cant' really tell if it works or not, sadly the dinosaur I bought it for doesn't seem to want to talk to its own HDMI ports. But I suspect it would work just fine when used with a geriatric appliance that knows how to behaves.

Connection to HDMI TV ?
Tried to connect DVD/VCR player with RCA connections to HDMI TV. Couldn’t get it to work. Discovered bought wrong device. Works for HDMI to RCA not in reverse.

Unlucky I guess
Got it and it didn’t work. Made sure that the blue ray worked, also tried it if it was reversed (rca to hdmi) still nothing both products came bad. Will be sending them back. Please note that this was my experience and I may very well have just been unlucky.
