I have used this in my cat’s food since she was a kitten, six years ago. Her teeth have no tarter. Tarter buildup causes gum disease, and the vet bill for the treatment includes anesthesia, which should be avoided whenever possible. The vet recommends cleaning every year or two. This bottle should last at least a year, using 1/4 teaspoon daily for my 9 pound cat.

I've been using this for several years, sprinkling the recommended amount on every dry dog food meal for my now-6-year-old dog. He likes it and it appears to work well. His teeth are in great shape. It's important not too miss a dose but to use it on every meal you give your dog.

I wanted to wait 30 days before writing this review. It’s expensive, yes, non returnable—yes. I put on both wet and hard food. My cats tarter is gone, I can see their actual teeth. Buy this and save thousands on vet dental cleaning.

I gave a 4 star only because not all my dogs will eat this. It does work on the ones who will eat it. I do not like the smell & I guess some dogs either don't like the smell or the taste.

I use it twice a day in my dog'd food for dental period problems, it does a pretty good job.

This product make keeps the tartar to a minimum and easy to remove. My dogs have super white teeth. It also keeps their breath fresh. I highly recommend this product if your dog get built up tartar on their teeth.

One of our dogs actually had to go to the vet's a few days ago and when she was examining him, she said his gums looked very healthy. We'd discussed the use of a dental or periodontal support for his teeth in previous appointments and was all for the dental support I'd been using for some time. The ingredients of Perio-Support are identical to the ones in the product we are using now. I'm assuming the formula is not a patented one as the labeling is almost identical, save the logo and labeling. I've tried this on my two dogs with successful results, but my cat shunned this.There are products you can put in your animal's water, but because I have two dogs I passed. Does it work? Definitely. When I run out of my other dental support and haven't had a chance to drive to purchase more, my small dog has noticeably bad breath within a few days. The product won't remove all the plaque, but does keep it to a minimum and his gums remain healthy. Because he is an older dog and I'm leery of anesthetizing him for teeth cleaning, some sort of intervention is necessary.Both dogs don't mind the taste and didn't shun it from the start. They simply wait until we sprinkle it over the top. I did question my veterinarian about the wisdom of putting the same amount of this powder on the food of the dog weighing 75 pounds as to the one weighing less than 8. She encouraged the same amount. The product's the same, simply a different name. My veterinarian is all for this type of product and so am I. The only thing they may have thought to add was the little measuring scoop that was included with the other dental support I purchased.
