Great upgrade for my old Linux machine
I received this today to upgrade my old AMD Athlon 64 X2. This is my living room desktop that I use mainly for web browsing and word processing.I'm currently running Linux Mint on it, and only had 1gb of RAM. Although Mint ran well enough, the system did get a little sluggish when I'd have both Thunderbird and a web browser open with a couple of tabs.After installing, I now have Thunderbird running with six tabs including some Google Docs stuff I'm working on, as well as a PDF, and this Amazon review. There are no hiccups at all and this bad boy is running super smooth!

It seems to be doing the job
This RAM was ordered for a machine running 32-bit XP Pro. Since XP can't recognize 4 GB or more of RAM, my system is showing 3.5 GB. Right now I can't tell much of a difference (had 2 GB of memory before upgrade) but I think a difference will appear with memory intense programs (such as remote desktop, multiple applications open, etc.) My computer does function normally with this RAM installed.

Haven't installed yet.....
.....but the product arrived on time and undamaged, so I'm happy! I would not hesitate to buy another one when I need it.

I bought two of these to add to my existing two, I am now running 8GB on my Dell Dimension 9200.Very nice, no problems!!!
