So helpful for “independent toddlers”
This is a LIFE SAVER for those toddler parents who have very independent, but runaway, kids. My son has always wanted to walk on his own and can get away so quickly. After an event where I put him down and turned to grab something….and he ran off into a crowd of people, I looked into this. Its straps are adjustable, the backpack has a cute design and it has a little pocket to store the “leash” like strap if you want it. I find the backpack to the wrist cuff is perfectly great and don’t need the leash strap. It clips on easy just like a strap on a backpack and the wrist cuff is comfy enough I can even wear it over my bracelets because it has some cushioning. With it on it lets my son get about 10 feet or so away from me, but still attached. It’s great for him to feel independent, but still be safe. Any person who thinks this is a crazy thing to use clearly doesn’t have a child who they need to be concerned about. A child can be taken so fast and this way he’s attached to us. You can put the wrist clip on a stroller too to keep them close. Trust me, you will never regret buying it, but you may regret not.

Good for sloping children!
I always said I would never have my child on one of these but it has been such a life saver. My son was diagnosed with Level 3 Autism and is an eloped so whenever we leave the house this comes with. I can just have the harness on him and put the leash on whenever we are out and about. Great for going on walks and a huge help to keep my toddler from running off when we take the dogs out.

Didn’t Think I’d Need It—Now I Won’t Go Without It
At first, I didn’t want to buy this because of the stigma and the stares. But after spending a day without a stroller (and having a little runner on my hands!), I realized this was exactly what we needed.I personally prefer the wrist option—it gives him space to roam but keeps him close and safe. It’s super easy to put on and take off, and I love that it fits right in his diaper bag without taking up much room. I hardly even care if I forget the stroller now.The only downside for us is the vest. My son hates wearing it, and it limits his movement more than he likes. I also find it less convenient since my hands aren’t as free compared to when we just use the wrist strap.Overall, this has made outings way more manageable and safe for us!

Gives my son freedoms while also giving me a sense of safety
love this product! My son is autistic and hates being put in a shopping cart or stroller. This backpack leash helps him to have freedom in public while offering me a sense of safety at the same time. HIGHLY recommend.

Top-Heavy Restraint
The item is cute and the right size for ages 2-3. But the buckle in the front sits high on the toddlers chest, resulting in the child being gagged by the strap if they run forward too fast. Additionally, it does not provide correct restraint of a running toddler as the top-strong buckle tends to cause the child to fall rather than pulling them back, the pack in general is unbalanced for restraint, but sufficient as a cute backpack.
