amazing knife at great cost
Western style handle, which is odd for a "traditional" Japanese slicer. It has a decent weight to it, SLIGHTLY blade heavy, but surprisingly well balanced.Katsuramuki is a breeze with this guy, this knife is very fun.I should note though, the saya that comes with the knife put a cosmetic scratch on my blade. I ran a ruler with sandpaper down the channel until the bump was gone. The saya didn't fit snugly anymore, but at least it can't scratch my knife again.
