Great Value, Bright Light for Everyday Use I picked up the Gritin LED Head Torch 2-pack mainly for evening walks and the occasional camping trip, and so far I’m really impressed. The COB LED gives a wide, even beam of light that makes close-up tasks like setting up a tent or walking the dog much easier. The head strap is comfortable and easily adjustable, and the lamp tilts so I can point it exactly where I need it. There are three modes — high, low and flashing — which cover most situations. On high, it’s surprisingly bright for such a small, inexpensive headlamp. On low, it’s good for preserving battery life. I also appreciate that it’s very lightweight; after a few minutes you almost forget you’re wearing it. A couple of small downsides: it runs on AAA batteries rather than having a built-in rechargeable battery, so you’ll need to keep spares handy. It’s also not designed to be a heavy-duty or long-throw spotlight — it’s best for close to mid-range lighting. Overall, though, for the price of a single premium headlamp you get two of these. They’re perfect for running, camping, fishing, or keeping in the car for emergencies. Excellent value for money.

These head touches are brilliant, used them for a night hike up the mountains in the lake district with no moon light they were great and put my friends head torch to shame very bright and easily adjustable head band would definitely recommend

For the money these are excellent. More than bright enough to see you through a power cut or camping. The lights are not bulky or heavy - most of the weight is due to the 3 AAA batteries (supplied). Opening the case and fitting the batteries is easy - this is not always the case. The light has 3 settings which are accessed by the press button on the top of the housing. Press 1 = high; press again for low; press again for strobe. The high setting is quite bright enough indoors for most tasks. The low setting gives you plenty of light to move around safely. The strobe would be easily visible outdoors to mark your position in say an emergency. The headbands are comfortable to water and seem strong. Overall these lights are a bargain for general use.

This is the second lot of these I have bought - topping up numbers not broken. Handy to have for camping trips for night trips to the bathrooms, searching for things in the car or tent, cooking or BBQing once dark but also keep one in the car in case of emergencies after having to change a tyre in the dark and hold a torch -- headlamp would have been far easier. Prefer the battery power for camping rather than USB as one less thing to charge but we've had the first lot a few years now and they still have the first batteries and the spares are still waiting their moment!
