The Question Is
Gamble-Huff stretch themselves in songwriting/production as well as MFSB musically, Billy Paul vocally, and explore new territories in the area of religion - "I See The Light" (Faith), "War Of The Gods" (Prophetic) and "Peace Holy Peace" (Gospel). They also continue their lyrical discourse with relational issues - "The Whole Town's Talking"; "Thanks For Saving My Life"; "I Was Married". From the controversial cover to the controversial lyrics this album continues to stimulate my thinking and ponder "What does it all mean?". The Bible tells me how it will all end. Only God knows when it all will end. I miss the music of the 1970's which had a "Message In The Music". No extras, the track listing on the inner sleeve and back cover do not follow the order heard on this Sony Legacy reissue. Good music, good price.

His best LP.
Really love Billy paul’s voice, was sad to hear when he passed. I have the LP but scratched it up when I was in my youth. Some great songs here.

I have been waiting to order this CD for some time now. Now that i have it I am okay with the old music of the 70's and 80's. This album is a winner. I love it so much and I am looking forward to listening to it.
