Essential Virtual SAN: Administrator's Guide to VMWare Virtual SAN

This will give a real good in depth over view of VSAN. If you haven't implemented it in the past I would say this would be a good book to go over before design and implementation. I would highly recommend this book.

This saved me when designing a vSAN. Lots of detail and examples. I would gladly welcome a sequel. Authors are top of their game.

Great book that everyone should read if you are considering to use VMware VSAN or already used.

Great book great authors

Some books you buy to read, others you buy to use. This is a book that you will use.I had a chance to use the "rough cut" version of the this book to help learn about VSAN and educate others on the use of it. As VSAN is a nascent technology there simple isn't a lot of information out there about it; this book fills that gap. It takes you through installation, configuration and management of VSAN as well as the all important troubleshooting of it. As a disclaimer I have worked with, and have been instructed by Cormac (one of the authors) and his instructional experience really shows through in this book from the crisp clear directions to its depth of knowledge about storage. The other author is Duncan who's blog "yellow-bricks" is a go-to site for many in the virtualization field. This is an approachable book for the novice and a great reference for the experienced IT professional.Another great feature of this book is its many examples of sizing VSAN environments, including one on sizing for a scale-out VSAN cluster environment.If you are going to use, or are thinking of using VSAN this is a must have book.-Tom

Its new and shiney, so you've got to get to know it now. Always find Cormac's writing an easy read. Worth the time and effort.

This book book covers the architecture of Virtual SAN (VSAN), its design, the installation and configuration and then brings on tips and tricks (maintenance, troubleshooting) that make this book, the single best stop to learn VSAN in depth.

As a solution design architect, I can only say thanks to Cormac Hogan and to Duncan Epping. This is a must have for your e-library! vSAN TECHNOLOGY rocks and I think will be a stream line in the next years, not just for SMB...
