Very nice!
This is a very nice mixer and very quiet too. It is so quiet you question weather it is going very fast. But it does go fast enough to get your egg whites to a stiff peak very quickly. The dough hook works great for a very wet focaccia or ciabatta dough. Really like how the cord is on a swivel.

Great hand mixer!
Ok, I learned my lesson with buying the cheap stuff. Mixer I had didn't even last a year and made a grinding noise the last time I used it, which was only like the 6th time. I'm spending more with this mixer, but I'm getting quality from a well known brand backed by a history of good products. This brand is competitively priced, and good quality! I really like the weight, and the feel of the handle of this device, it's comfortable to use. I appreciate the value of the extra attachments it comes with. I love the speeds and power this has, making mixing much easier! The attachments are dishwasher safe, and easy to store. It's an amazing product!!

Great hand mixer
I normally used a stand mixer in the past but this demanded a lot of counter space as well as moving a heavy piece of equipment to do my mixing. In the interest of space and ease of cleaning I decided to purchase a hand mixer.I've now used this hand mixer to make a large variety of baked goods, from muffins, to cakes, some frosting and even bread. The mixer has a great number of speeds which is perfect for not flinging ingredients all over your counters. Additionally the interface to change the speeds is easy to use and very intuitive which is wonderful for times where you may want to start the mixing slow but then speed it up after the ingredients have begun to be incorporated with one and other. The mixer also came with a lot of attachments out of the box, the beaters are great for batters and frostings. However I was pleasantly surprised to see a pair of dough hooks and a whisk.I haven't used the whisk yet but the dough hooks! let me tell you what, I never expected a hand mixer to be able to handle dough as well as this thing does. Such a small tool was able to handle enough dough for me to make two pizzas without even having to break out a stand mixer or manually knead at all.Lastly the hand mixer also came with some nice add-ons like a bag that's able to hold all the attachments which will certainly help with not misplacing them.. or at least keeping them together so you're not digging through drawers for one of the two beaters. There is also a great rubber strap on the cord for the hand mixer which helps hold the cord in a shortened bundled state rather than completely uncoiled.I would highly recommend this product based on my experience for it's easy of cleaning, the power it's able to produce, how easy it is to operate, and the versatility with the attachment's that came with it.

Quiet, Powerful, ideal mixer.
Love KithenAid's noticeable quality difference versus the competitors. Solid build but not heavy or clunky, love the attachments. Best features are ergonomics and very quiet. A+ product.

works great for sourdough bread
The media could not be loaded. *ONE YEAR UPDATE*I've had this for over a year now. I use it at least once a day for breads, cookies, crackers, goat cheese (we eat a lot of goat cheese) and it's still working just as well as day one. I don't use it on bread dough a ton as I feel like it was getting too thick for the motor to handle; thankfully there's been no damage. I've had my five and seven yr olds use it as well. The dough hook is AMAZING for mixing peanut butter, it's really a life changer in that regard. I have to say I'm a huge fan.**************I was gifted a Kitchen Aid stand mixer when I got married, in fact, my mom said that she was holding on to it for my wedding day. So I found the first guy I could and married him so I could get the stand mixer. I used it basically everyday as I have to do a lot of cooking from scratch for my food-sensitive family. After 9 years of blissful dough mixing, my stand mixer broke. I was devastated. I had to start mixing bread dough by hand. Like a pioneer (1st world problems, I know). Knowing that I would have been the worst pioneer ever, I told my husband that we really needed to replace the mixer. Even after looking at tons of Black Friday deals, they were just too expensive for us at this point in our lives. We then started looking into hand mixers as a temporary fix for some of the un-breadly mixing needs. And then I realized that these things have dough hooks. I scoured the internet looking for reviews about the hand mixer dough hooks and most people have never even used them. I like to live dangerously so I talked my husband (of 9 happy years now) into getting me this mixer instead of the more expensive stand mixer. The day this arrived I used the dough hooks. They really helped with the annoying initial mixing of the bread dough which was always the worst part. It took it to a great point where I could just hand knead the dough the rest of the way. It’s a little therapeutic, I guess. They were really easy to clean off, too. The dough mostly came off on its own and the little bits at the end easily slid off. I gave them a quick wipe and rinse and they were good to go. These dough hooks are great if you are looking for a less expensive way to help out with your dough making and you don’t mind just a little hand kneading at the end.I included a video of the consistency of the sourdough after just a couple of minutes of mixing. It was pretty sticky at that point, but about a minute after that it was ready for hand kneading.I make my dough at night after my children are in bed, one bonus of this mixer is it is not loud at all. It’s way more quiet than my original Kitchen Aid stand mixer. I could still hold a conversation with my husband in the next room as I mixed.I have used the mixer multiple times now for various foods and it has been wonderful. It’s easy to clean the parts and storage is ok in the bag. I would have preferred the plastic container storage that the other leading brands have, but I’ll deal with it.This was everything I need right now at just a fraction of the price of a stand mixer.
