Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Tea Infuser

There is no better bottle. Period. I just fill them and leave them in the fridge. It does take 2 days to get cold that way, and you can do it in 1/2 hour with ice, but since we go out weekends this works fine. The water is ICE after spending 8 hours in the direct sunlight on top of my saddle. I carry two as does my wife, plus for cheaper not insulated ones for emergencies (this is AZ). My wife flavors hers and it does not change the bottle and leave lingering taste. I have another brand that is much larger I also use. Very nice bottle, nothing close to this one in quality. This is made very nice, takes hot and cold, has a strainer for tea bags, easy to hold, and still shocks me when it is so cold after a ride (I don't put anything but water in, no ice, nothing). The bigger ones don't last as long (probably harder to keep 36 oz cold). Since I drink so much, I empty the big one and pour the little ones at lunch. Other than the price -- which in this case is actually worth it -- these are fabulous. We probably have 10 different types of bottles (this is AZ) -- nothing comes close, so they are not cheap, they are excellent.

I previously rated this item as less than FIVE STARS. Originally, there was a kind of smell coming from the rubber seal in the lid. The vendor was kind enough to supply me with another one to try, with instructions to soak the item in hot sudsy water for a time. I did try this, and to my great surprise all of the outgassing odor was completely GONE! I would not hesitate to recommend this water bottle to anyone. It has an extremely nice feel to your hands . . . there is a sort of "soft grip" feeling when handling the water bottle--the bottle is very comfortable to hold. At least to me it is very nice looking, much more so than the vast majority of other water bottles; it is of a size that it could easily be put in a brief case, a back pack, or a landies handbag, or other bag for ease of carring. It has a wonder strainer (That is supposed to be used as a tea infuser) in the mouth of the bottle that prevents ice from clogging up preventing you from being able to sip from the bottle. I haven't yet used the strainer with tea, but that idea is great, and will be used once the weather cools. This is really a great water bottle!

This water bottle is very good quality and works well. It says it keeps beverages cold up to 36 hours or hot up to 12 hours. Kind of testing this out; I filled it up with ice and water to see how long it stayed cold. I just carried around with me as I went about my normal day. After 6 hours, most of the ice had melted but the water was still cold. I let it sit all day and overnight and checked it periodically; after about 12 hours, all the ice was melted but the water was still cold. After about 18 hours when I checked it; the water was about room temperature. It's somewhat cold here (I live in the deep south, it's not THAT cold) and I kept with me indoors so I don't know how it would react in warmer outdoor temps. It probably would have lasted longer if I had put more ice and less water in initially. I still thought that was pretty good considering it stayed cold mostly all day. It may depend on the type of beverage you have in there as well. I also used this to put my morning coffee in and it kept it hot for about 5 hours. After I came home, I left it sit for a few more hours to see if it would still be hot. After about 8 hours the coffee was not hot but it was still warm. It's not a big deal unless you have a serious need for your beverage to last 12- 36 hours.Overall Pros:- Stainless Steel, Well Made. My husband and I have recently moved back to the states after selling off all of our possessions and living abroad. We are starting over and trying to only buy well-made and long-lasting items for our house. I'm so impressed with this bottle - which I will refer to as a Thermos.I prepared a thermos full of coffee to have while I ran my weekend errands, completely forgot about it until 5 hours later when it was STILL HOT AND STEAMY. The tea infuser basket is also a major plus. Instead of having to make tea in a mug and steep for 15 minutes before putting it in a travel mug for work, now it can steep on the way to work.The bottle is incredibly durable. I love the brushed steel look. Ask me when winter is over how great it is for cold beverages!
