Absolutely necessary!
Since picking up Root early last year it has quickly become my favourite game and this expansion only enhances that experience.The corvids are such a great faction for newer players as they’re pretty easy to pick up and learn, meaning you can get those reluctant family members to the table.The Dutchy provide a good learning curve as one of the heavier factions (looking at you keepers) and make repeat plays a great time for larger groups. 100% recommend!
