So Happy With My Purchase!
I'm absolutely thrilled with my 3rd Sailor Moon manga volume! I've been reading scanned bits and pieces people have posted on the Internet for years and I'm so glad to finally be able to read the complete story. I did note some of the problems that others have mentioned, but I'm so glad to be able to read these for myself that I can easily look past it. While it would be so nice to have a perfect version, I am happy with what I've got. These volumes are thick! They are quickly read because there's not a ton of text on the pages but you'll sit and just look at the art after you've read the words. I don't want to put any spoilers in my review so I'll just say that this one picks up right where the last one left off, where the sailors are fighting Queen Beryl. In this volume we meet Chibi Usagi and the Black Moon Clan.I love all the Serenity and Endymion art and was nearly in tears almost through the whole first half. A much more dramatic and satisfying conclusion than the television series in my opinion.About to order Volume 4! I can't wait!

Just got my new Sailor Moon!!! But watch out for those Color Pages!!
So being a life long fan who has "grown up" and now has money, when I first heard that they were reprinting Sailor Moon in Original form, updated, and re-translated I was all for it! I immediately went onto Amazon and purchased all the volumes I could and pre-ordered the rest. Now I will you Fair warning, having only read the original American release once, many years ago and only because my friend owned it so I have no freakin' clue if anything is better, worse or funny looking compared to the original Tokyopop print. All I know is that the illustrations are perfect, the story is still the same slightly cheesy but totally original "Magical Girl & Friends" that we all grew up with and even though I know the ending already I was still cheering for the "Pretty Guardians" to win! On the other slightly more technically oriented hand the book cover itself is gorgeous, binding is ok, (I've only read it twice over and owned it for like 4 hrs so I can't really say) and the "traditional" pages are all printed very clear. My only complaint is the Color Printed Pages. In the Volume I received, the "shiny" color pages are all 1/2 an inch to an inch off in the printing. Some pages have the top cut off while others have the bottom cut off, but the front and back of the individual pages are the same in their cut-offs and 2-page across illustrations seem to line up just fine. I'm not sure whether it affected the Whole Print Run or if I just made it out lucky, but it doesn't seem to knock out any text unless there is some on the very bottom or top of the illustrations that I don't know about. If it does then I will shake my fist at the publisher and....... umm....... yep, that's about it. So sorry if it affected yours too but maybe if we all complain about it enough Amazon will give us new copies if they reprint. ;DAll in all its a great book and other than the print problem, there is probably very little I will give it up for.Hope this review helps! I'll try to post a video review showing what the misprint looks like if I can get time.P.s. Comment if your color pages are messed up too, I'm kinda curious to see what happened and how many people it affected. Thanks!

Holy crap: NO FILLER!
TL:DR - Awesome bang for your buck. This manga won't be wasting your time drawing out battle after pointless battle, and with only 12 volumes in the entire series, it won't be an economic quagmire to get hooked on this story. And, in 15 chapters, the entire story arc for the first season of Sailor Moon is a wrap! WHAT? Yeah, you heard me: this manga moves at frightening, lightning speed. And I'm not complaining! I was very weary of buying this because I was worried this would turn out to be some Inuyasha debacle with 60 volumes, which will end up costing near $500 to own the entire set. This worry was unfounded. The entire Sailor Moon manga series only runs 12 volumes. This fact also worried me, because I thought I would just be getting a manga that had fight after pointless fight drawn out. NOPE! Really, the only other manga I've ever read with less filler is probably Claymore. (A shonen manga that goes out of its way to end battles quickly? WHAT?)The only thing that bothers me is that some things are ridiculously filler-less. Take Mamoru's backstory in volume two. The whole thing is wrapped up in...2 panels. I found it to be highly comical, what with a picture of a car careening off a cliff in one panel and a doctor in the next going, "It's a miracle he survived that horrible accident...except the poor dear has no memory..." IT DIDN'T EVEN TAKE UP THE WHOLE PAGE! (I guess it's justified because he a) has no memory and b) his OTHER back story is the one everybody cares about, but still.) Drawing out two panels instead of him just mentioning what happened off camera kind of makes it seem a little melodramatic. HOWEVER, it certainly lives up to the NO FILLER standard that has been set by this series! If you're worried about getting into this because the anime makes it seem like this manga will go on forever, then don't. It's relatively short and JAM-PACKED with story, so check it out!

Beautiful graphics
Bought as a gift for my manga/anime obssessed 12 year old daughter - she absolutely loves this series! She says the graphics are beautiful, she loves the characters and the story line kept her hanging (and she is now badgering me for the next book!)

Revisiting my childhood...
I LOVED Sailor Moon as a child and as I rewatched the series a couple of months ago, I decided to read all the manags — because otherwise I couldn't call myself a true fan ;) As expected, a fun and exciting journey with the Sailor Scouts. Lots of details and slight differences to the series were an added bonus. Very happy!

Lovely to look at
My daughter loves it. These mangas are lovely to look at and beautifully made. I almost kept them for myself.
