Sourced reliably from Sri Lanka, processed through cold press (healthier qualitythan heat). And the best price out of its few contenders. Great texture, taste, and the seal was extra durable and sealed tight. I love to use this for oil pulling (look it up it’s better than mouthwash) for skincare, hair care and even my pets fur and teeth care.Definitely recommend if your looking for good quality & affordable coconut oil on the market

I never felt strongly about coconut oil before I tried this product. In my mind, coconut oil was just another cooking oil in my cooking toolkit: It's oil. It does its job. Sometimes, it has a slightly coconutty taste.But this product, my friends, will change your minds about coconut oil. And dare I say, your lives.I didn't think I could fall in love with coconut oil until I tried this one. Before buying this product, I had always purchased refined coconut oil, thinking that it was more "mild" and "less coconutty", which I (incorrectly) assumed was better for cooking. The internet will tell you that virgin coconut oil will give you more of a coconut taste. That's what I had always believed, so I didn't think that would be for me.But one day, I was feeling adventurous, and thought "you only live once"... so I drank my glass of wine, pressed that "buy now" button, and smiled mischievously at the thought of making a few extra coconutty bakes for my coworkers and loved ones.Then this beautiful jar arrived, and My God, was I wrong about everything.This is the best coconut oil I have ever had, and have ever had the pleasure of cooking with. The taste? PURE COCONUT BUTTER HEAVEN - like if coconuts were delightful butter babies that produced the most joyful, moist, delectable substance made out of love, hope, and happiness. It had style! It had flair! It was there! No, but in all seriousness, one taste and my heart stopped, grew three sizes bigger, and embraced this newfound world that I had shut off for so much of my life. If only previous me knew what she was missing!For my cooks out there, this stuff cooks better, tastes better, bakes better, blends better, and even drinks better than any conventional coconut oil on the market. I have made cookies, brownies, cakes, savory dishes, casseroles, soups, smoothies, and more with this little jar of superpowered scrumptiousness.What more can I say? This is about the size of one of the smaller jars of coconut oil one might find at the supermarket, but the jar opening is wide enough to easily accommodate a measuring spoon when scooping some of this out for cooking. Coconut oil is also a popular skin moisturizer, and this organic virgin coconut oil is supposed to be better for one's skin than the cheap stuff at the supermarket. However, like all coconut oils, it will liquify if subjected to even slightly warmer-than-room-temperature heat, so you may want to refrigerate it during the summer, especially if your home isn't air-conditioned. (I don't need to refrigerate mine in my air-conditioned kitchen, but I found out the hard way that I can't keep it in the upstairs bathroom, which doesn't stay as cool in summer.) As a moisturizer, my sensitive skin tolerated it well, and it seemed pretty effective. As a cooking fat, it works just fine, with a higher smoke point than some other cooking fats, and makes a great substitute for vegetable shortening or especially non-stick cooking spray (the latter of which is a no-no with some of my non-stick skillets). It's perhaps a bit fancy for everyday cooking, but it does work well at that task -- and if you can keep it from liquifying before use, it's a fantastic skin moisturizer! Recommended.
