Q: will this work on binding thin pieces of acrylic together?

I used this to cement 1/8" acrylic pieces together to build several sales display cases and it worked perfectly. You must make sure the ends to be bonded are absolutely clean and smooth for the bonding to take place. Bonds fairly quickly and use sparingly as it will distort any areas where it spreads out.

Q: Can it be use on acrylic vs tempered aquarium glass?

It is for acrilics, and some other plastics. Not glass

Q: The junction between the needle and the lid of the applicator bottle leaks badly. What kind of "glue" will not be dissolved by the solvent?

I think that a super (or instant) glue might work. I simply gave up on the applicator bottle and use a small paintbrush with a pointed tip, and put the top of the container on loosely until I've finished. It's difficult to fill the bottle without losing a lot of the solvent anyway.

Q: Can I use this inside of a acrylic aquarium?

Once it has cured/dried - wash , should be ok , sure the aquarium is acrylic - not just plex-i-glass?
