Golden Art Nouveau Tarot Cards – 8 November 2019

The packaging is excellent, but for long term use the box can be better. The art style is epic. Everyone who needs their first tarot deck go for this one, you will not gonna regret.

I'll start with the packaging, then move on to the contents inside:Packaging: My carton (box) in which the cards come was slightly squished from the side when I received it, a little folded. P.S here I'm not referring to the Amazon packaging. Probably because it was an international shipping and stuff tends to get messy, still would appreciate if better care was taken next time. Or perhaps, seller could provide a thicker box to prevent this. The cards although were very well packed, plastic on the box and inside on the cards.Contents (The cards): The card stock is decent, not too thin like I saw a lot of people complaint in their reviews. I was actually scared and contemplated cancelling my order after seeing so many people mention it. They are cards, not paper plates to carry food. Love the illustrations, not too dim like someone claimed, very expressive and really speaks to the reader. The white border is avoidable, not distracting if you know where to focus. People who want to be distracted will find distractions even in an empty white room. I picked this deck cause it was very similar to Rider Waite, but Rider Waite seemed a tad bit difficult to decipher, for me. This is good for beginners, price was also justified for the gold foil addition on the cards, as well as the box. Although not sure if the gold foil comes off, will update my review in a few months, since someone claimed it wears off. I do have to say though, it might be distracting to some readers, it does get in your eyes, despite being very shimmery and pretty to look at. And it does make the cards a little slippery, they slide off even standing in a straight deck.Booklet: The mini booklet that comes with the set is pretty ass and not too helpful, people are better off learning from the internet, but the effort made to add it in Italian and other languages as well is appreciated.Common doubts: A lot of people in their reviews have mentioned how the cards they received were too small and lacked the gold foil. Please check which deck you're ordering, there's TWO of them. There's a regular sized one with the gold foil and a mini size with simple black paint in place of the gold, which is almost 3 inches smaller than the regular one in length. I believe it is more of a collector's deck, and therefore also seems mushed up when it comes to the details, due to it's size.
