I was told I had to stop twirling the knives at work as it made others uncomfortable and it wasn't safe. . . So got this as an adult fidget spinner. I don't have nor inspired to own a real butterfly or bala -whatever knife so can't say how accurate it is for training. But it is pretty fun and feels like "tricks" just more or less happen on there own, plus keeps my hands busy. I figured it would be a wobbly, loose, cheap feeling toy but even with over 6-8 hours a day of flopping, dropping, slamming, twirling, spinning, and flipping, it's as good as the day I got it. I almost want to try to break it at this point but then my bored hands would be lonely.

I expected this to be really cheap, I bought it anyway to see if I was into balisong flipping. When it arrived, I fiddled with it all day. I went for a walk while flipping it and it took multiple hits to the concrete, and after about 20 drops one of the screws loosened. This was not a problem for me because I have decided I'm into the hobby and I have the money for an expensive balisong. The knife feels a bit heavy in your hands, so your hands will get sweaty fast when using this. The grips feel very nice though, they are the perfect size for my small hands, but this might be hard to hold for people with bigger hands due to the grips being very thin. Overall, amazing product for seeing if you are into balisong flipping, but it is not good if you intend to practice tricks with this. In my case of seeing if I was into the hobby, this product is perfect.

this is a good basic practice knife but will break after a couple of days of use they need to use better screws and parts, but it is good for beginners

My son thought this looked cool and wanted something to mess around with that wouldn’t land him in the ER. This trainer fit the bill. It’s not sharp at all, but it’s heavier than it looks, so if you miss a trick and whack your hand, you’ll definitely feel it. Not hospital-level pain, but you’ll think twice.Feels well made and the latch works like it should. Honestly, I think it gave him a healthy respect for the real thing — he’s already said he’s good without a real switchblade now. Works for me.

Decent and okay balisong trainer to start with. The handles are thin and nice! After 1 week of playing and dropping the balisong it wears out and you might need to tighten the screws. The pointy things on the side can pinch you if you aren't careful and I've been pinched TONS of times by this thing. The bite handle indicator also wore out and was unable to latch on sometimes. 3 stars for the thin handles and okay flipping

Works as a practice knife allowing for less cuts. A little lighter than true butterfly blade.

The knife is so smooth and you can do tricks with it super easily

Really cool item but the spring to keep it closed brome within a day. Barely used it for maybe 25 minutes total. Still super fun just sad how fast the piece broke.
