I had ordered this to replace an old mechanical corkscrew, it arrived and I could not get it to work, I tried 3 sets of batteries with no success. I returned the item as faulty and received a full refund, I decided to reorder as the bottle opener looked good and felt nice in the hand.The replacement arrived promptly and I looked forward to trying it out, inserted the batteries and pressed the down button and nothing happened, I was disappointed to say the least. As i started to unscrew the battery compartment to retrieve my batteries before returning the opener when my hand hit the down button and the opener operated. It looks like when the battery cap is fully screwed in the opener does not operate if it is backed off from the fully closed (Locked) position a couple of mm it works well, the battery cap is still secure in this position the arrow on the cap just doesn't line up with the locked symbol . CIRCLE JOY should look at this as most people (myself included) would just return the item as faulty. I suspect that this was the issue with my first order too.In conclusion It is a nice bottle opener it feels quite sturdy and nice in the hand, time will tell if it lasts

Got this as a present for my sister cos she drinks a lot of wine so it works well for her. Easy to use and practical.

Got this for my friends Christmas present, needless to say she hasn't got it yet due to our present sicumstances I have one myself and we meet up and have a drink and dinner. I have one and it is fantastic, great for people with dexterity problems

I needed this last week and I was bowled over by how easy this was to use!! I used the foil cutter (very simple) and pressed a button and within seconds my cork was out with zero breakage. I was SO IMPRESSED! It took seconds and one button to get the cork back out to throw away. Absolute recommendation!!

Having had a similar product which didn't work I was sceptical but the reviews were good so bought one. It works perfectly. As i have MS I find it hard to use my hands but this was great. Highly recommended

First use and the foil cutter broke, just under a month and the corkscrew stopped working, tried to return but apparently it was out of time. absolute waste of money, don't bother

This is amazing - bought for my husband as a Xmas gift. He loves it! Sooo much easier than your regular wine bottle opener. You do need batteries though x
