Cool Maker, Sew Cool Sewing Machine with 5 Trendy Projects and Fabric, for Kids 6 Aged and up

Oh my gosh, my 9 year old loves this. It's a felter, not an actual sewing machine, which is why it doesn't need thread. But that is great because kids can use it without help. And when you run out of the felt that comes with it you can pick up basic felt from Walmart or here on Amazon and it works great with the machine. My daughter loves to draw a design on the felt and then sew (felt) on the lines she drew. She has a lot of fun with it, and I love that it keeps her entertained and I don't have to help her rethread it every few minutes, which is what happens with kids and sewing machines. Also, it has a great clear plastic safety surround around the needle so kids won't get poked.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter - she absolutely loved it right away. She spend half a day creating adorable little projects with this fun machine. It's easy to use and they can't get hurt with it, since there's no needle. Very cool idea, indeed!

This was a gift for my 5 YO and she loves it. I feel like it’s safe, easy to set up and use. The only downfall is that it comes with just three sewing projects. I am not sure if there are expansions you can buy. But it feels short lived to only make three things. That is just from parents point of view. My daughter thinks it’s fabulous and loves that she is sewing “fashion”

I got my 5 year old this machine since she watches me sew constantly. She was able to understand the simple instructions and begin within seconds. Once you run out of the pack of felt given with this machine regular felt from the dollar tree or Walmart works just as well! She hasn’t stopped playing with it since Christmas. This is a win in my book!

Overpriced for what it really is. It doesn’t sew, but you can use it to attach pieces of felt and do projects that may not last more than one day together unless you sew them for real ( by hand or in a real machine). Girls love it, but grown ups looking to introduce kids to sewing will see this as a waste. This version is even simpler than the blue one. Oh and if the needles break, they are not replaceable, so you would have to buy a new machine. I recommend this one for small felt decorative projects and keep girls entertained, but they will get frustrated when they see the projects fall apart.

I purchased this for a gift, because my grandaughter got one last year and while working on crafts recently found it to be sew much fun. Safe, easy to operate, and fuses flat felt for projects, like Christmas ornaments. My grandchildren began designing clothes for their "Elf on the Shelf", making sleeping bags, etc. This is a wonderful machine to let kids develop a relationship with crafts and sewing. I loved it so much, I bought one for myself, too!

What a great idea and product. Very safe but feels like real sewing to my 5 yr old granddaughter! She and her mom have had a blast with it. Highly recommend! Would suggest to buy the extra fabric.

it is an ok toy.. my wife told me to buy it for the kids and i did.. only to realize that the kids blew through all 5-6 projects within 20minutes and it needs special fabric/kits for more projects. if i had known i might not have bought it to be honest. not reading specifics was my fault.. but i think the value is so so...

My daughter is into fashion so I thought this would be a good stepping stone towards a real sewing machine. It doesnt work like that, it really only connects felt? Maybe I didn't read the details clearly enough.

So this is a really cool idea, kids loved it, however you can only use the sewing machine on the material provided, and there are no refill kits or anything. After the kids and I finished the 5 included projects (which are really fast like 1 min each) then there was nothing left to do... for the price I was expecting that the kids would be entertained much longer. If the manufacturer offered refills or add on project for a lower price than I would give this a much higher rating. But honestly as is I can not recommend this product due to the low amount of play time this provides.
