A little expensive for what you get. But very useful.You have to watch it very closely.Putting it on only moderately tight so as to allow air to escape while filling.Once taken off it falls into 4 pieces that can be easily lost.I'm thinking about gluing the top and bottom clear plastic pieces together.I store mine in a large prescription bottle to protect it.

Great item

I had purchased this as a recommendation from Amazon that people who bought the Barker mobile waste water tank had also purchased this gauge that went with it. However, the tank already came with this gauge (this was not noted in the tank description), so I wound up returning it. Having said that though, the gauge that came with the tank was exactly the same as this one, so I'm confident I can review it: My feedback would be that the gauge, which is a very basic foam float suspended in a clear plastic tube. It floats up the tube as the water level increases in the tank it is attached to. It works fine and is helpful in making sure you don't overflow the tank. A couple caveats to this are that the hole in the tanks that it mounts onto is also the only air vent hole in the tank, so if you screw it down tight, it will cause the tank to force air back out of the water fill hole, which is not what you want. On another reviewers suggestion, I loosened up the gauge just enough to let air escape around it and it worked fine. Also, It's suggested that you remove the gauge when you transport the tank and I think that would be a good idea to both keep water from sloshing up into the gauge tube and to reduce the risk of it being broken.I only gave this item 4 stars because of the price, which seems high for such a simple device, and because the one I received did not come in the clear plastic packaging it shows in the listing. Mine came in a plastic bag stapled onto the paper insert that comes inside the clear plastic package. This makes made me think I had been sent a gauge that had been returned and repackaged, which I did not appreciate since I had paid full price. One final issue was that when I returned it, Amazon was going to keep the shipping cost. I had to call them and explain that I had purchased it on their recommendation and that the waste tank listing did not say that the tank already came with the gauge. They agreed to refund my full purchase price, but when I got the refund, the shipping had not been included, so now I have to go through the hassle of calling them back again to get my shipping cost refunded.

Somehow lost the original one that came with the tank so I had to buy a replacement and it fits perfectly!

Worth money

Product is well made and I’m sure it will last. I bought this to use with my Camco Rhino 21 gallon wast tank that I already had. Fits perfectly and takes the guess work out of determining how much is in the tank. I would definitely buy again.

I just received my Bobber Gauge and I'm a little disappointed. First, the floater is made of two pieces of rubber/foam and the two had already broken. It was easier to super glue them back together than to return the product, so that's what I did. Second, this seems a bit fragile for something that's going to protrude from a tank that tends to get manhandled. The plastic it's made from seems brittle. If you put this on your tank and leave it there, I'd be sure you have the tank's original cap just in case this thing breaks. The directions also indicate that in order to use the gauge you'll need to have your RV hose positioned just right, that seems like it may be a bit much. I haven't tried the gauge out yet, so I can't speak to it's performance. For the price, it may prove worth it. We'll see.

Product pre-ordered for use during next Canadian camping season. Product arrived earlier than scheduled, new, in original packaging. Unit will be first used in June 2021.
