I love them I got 2 sets!
I bulit up 2 different bikes and they both had old out dated cable brakes. For this being my first time installing hydraulic brakes I was nervous but after watching a few YouTube videos It was very simple and I didn’t need to bleed any of the brakes I installed all 4 where ready right out of the box just cut the line tap in the barb and tighten the hose and your done! They have great power on 160mm rotors I went with the fined brake pads shimano sells and that’s a major upgrade to the stock pads but besides that the kit has everything you may need bolts barbs rubber boot. Very nice set of brakes

Wrong I-Spec for my MTB
These are excellent brakes, but… I bought this to replace a failed left brake not realizing that it would be incompatible with my Shimano shifters. This lever is I-Spec EV, and my other brake lever was I-Spec II. The clamp on the EV is positioned near the middle of the body, which caused the body area to interfere with my shift levers. The clamp on the I-Spec II’s is positioned closer to the pivot point of the lever. There aren’t many I-Spec II high-end shimano brakes available anymore.

Great relationship between price and performance.
Really easy to bleed. Great quality. The difference between this brakes and the hose tiers is just in adjustability and weight but in stop power there is not a noticiable difference.

This was obviously a previously returned item
This item was obviously purchased and returned by someone else. The packaging was torn open with parts scattered about inside the box, and the hydraulic brake line had been cut and installed into the lever assembly. There was no indication the brake had been actually used on a bike (I would have given one star if that was the case). Fortunately the brake line was sufficiently long enough to accommodate my bike. I give it three stars because the product was serviceable, but I'm still annoyed at receiving a somewhat used product.

I question Shimano's quality
Bought a left and right set. After shortening the hose, I went to bleed the system and the bleed hole screws were extremely torqued and impossible to remove. I used the same hex key which worked on all my other bikes but ended up stripping. I had to cut a slot with a Dremel and apply heat to the lever body to remove them. This happen to both units out of the box. Surprised Shimano sets these up for failure. Buyers beware.

Bleed screw threads stripped
The bleed screw threads literally stripped out after installing and bleeding before any use. I’ve built bikes and didn’t have any significant amount of torque on the screw. Thankfully I was refunded, but bummer on the quality.
