The media could not be loaded. I purchased this clock insert for my mantle clock project. The size was right, I liked the face and gold ring, and I also liked the hands. But I wanted a pendulum in my clock design, so I had to remove the clock movement and replace it with a pendulum movement.In order to do that, I had to remove the lens. There are 2 tabs holding the lens in place -- one at 3 o'clock and one at 9 o'clock (see picture -- red circles). One tab was smaller than the other, so I took a screwdriver and tweaked it out of the slot that was holding it in place. That allowed me to pivot the lens and pull the large tab out of the other slot. Then, I removed the hands, and unsnapped the clock mechanism.I then purchased this pendulum clock movement:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07W5ZW2H7?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_titleI removed the tabs that held in the original clock movement. The shaft of the pendulum movement is longer than the original, so I had to use a spacer to get the hands into the proper position -- no big deal.The video is the completed clock. The light-colored wood (the roses, oval and skirt) are inlaid basswood.Since the pendulum is just for effect, it doesn't swing at a 1 second interval. For that reason, I did not use a second hand.

I got it as a replacement insert for a Chrystal clock. Very pretty: better than the original I replaced.I've Been using it for 6 months or so. So far, ticking away, keeps good time.

So i was ready to dump out my pretty little crystal clock because the clockworks inset died. Low and behold I find this one...so pretty...inserted perfectly and fit perfectly...love the dial!
