Yes, this product does all that one could hope. The cardboard is strong. It does absorb grease, however, so if you are cheap like me and want to re-use these, just wrap some aluminum foil around it before using. I've managed to use these quite a number of times before discarding! All that said, please be sure to comparison shop before buying here at Amazon. I was dismayed to find after purchasing them that the retail price is about 60% of what I paid on Amazon. As everyone knows Amazon fluctuates its pricing quite a lot, so that may not be the case when you are looking at this item, but do yourself a favor and at least check Wilton's website for the true retail price. I found them locally at a Michael's near me for a much better price.

Perfect size and durable

these are perfect for my 6 inch cakes! i'm an amateur baker and i'm trying to improve on my cake making and i'm obsessed with these! i bought a set of 4 6 inch pans and these are more than perfect for them! i'm gonna buy some more when i run out haha

This review is for the Wilton Cake Rounds in size 6", 8", 10", and 12". The rounds are exactly the same, except for the size, and I am posting identical reviews for each product. This is one of them. I always like have a package of cardboard cake circles handy - I use them for so many things! They are great for cheesecake bases, and cake bases, as well as liners for all kinds of artisan breads, cookies, homemade pizza, and etc. This is one of those "must haves" that my kitchen is never without. I especially love that they make things portable and disposable, so I can take an item to a gathering and don't have anything to wash or bring home. I simply place the cake, pumpkin bread or cheesecake on a round that is slightly too large, and cover it with Saran Wrap and take it along! I often bake in large quantities and freeze things on the cardboard rounds, wrap tightly to keep out frost and pull it out of the freezer for a quick addition to a surprise company meal. The uses are endless and these are as useful as napkins and paper towels.

All photos have the cake board under them and they are 8in cakes other than the football but these work great. Would get a bigger size next time though

Love these Wilton cake circles. They are always perfect for any cake I make. I recently made my first wedding cake and had to travel about 30 miles with it. I popped out the center hole and it nicely fit the center dowel and traveled without any problems.

Poor quality, just a carton

Kamen noch nicht zum Einsatz. Machen aber einen guten Eindruck. Besonders toll finde ich das vorgestanzte Loch in der Mitte, durch das man einfacher Tortenstützen schieben kann.

The price point on these is amazing! A fraction of the cost for a similar item in my local bakery supply store. I buy the extra thin boards that are gold on one side and silver on the other and hot glue it to these boards which adds to sturdiness. Even with putting the 2 together my cost is still less than half of the silver foil board boards. These were marked down when I purchased them so I'm not sure if they always be this cheap but will buy more and stock up while I can!
