BRILLIANT IF USE WITH TISSUE
First impression, nice sleek container that feels robust. On first inspection and use I wasn't Initially convinced as the tips are a soft silicone so not absorbent and had to wash the end before I could use in other ear (even though you shouldn't put them in your ears) BUT then had genius idea to use with a square of loo roll over end. GAME CHANGER! Now you can happily get moisture out of ear after shower, wipe makeup away etc etc just with one small square of loo roll and keeps the bud clean as just move to fresh bit of tissue. This makes it as effective as regular cotton buds so now only one small square of loo roll is wasted on each use but don't end up with 100s of dirty cotton buds everywhere! Excellent. Will get a couple more to chuck in travel bags.

Better than cotton ones
So, like a lot of people, I saw this and wondered how that could be hygienic. But, you know, I love my reusable cotton pads for cleaning my face and I get a bit extra happy know I'm not helping fill a landfill. So, you know, I thought it was worth a try. It is better than the cotton swabs. Now, I know people say not to put them in your ears because it can damage them, but a lot of people ignore that and I am one. This review is based on putting it in your ear. So, the first thing I'll mention is the bud area. It has little bumps on it that help get more wax than the cotton ones. My ears have been less itchy since using this, and I believe that that is down to the material of the buds as regular ones tend to dry my ear out, which doesn't happen with this. I can apply just a liiiittle too mulch pressure to the earbud trying to make sure I can reach the top of the ear canal too. The stick on this is flexible enough that I have not yet managed to create the curve in it that usually ensues when using a regular swab like this. And it is SO easy to clean. Just run the buds under hot water and you can see the wax disappear and not stick. I then take a pinch of soap and rub it over just to make extra sure. Then a rinse and you're done. The protective case is also really good. It has a mini mount to put it on inside for it, and the case has a swivel lid so you'll never lose it. If you drop to knock it over, the bud doesn't call out, unlike a box of the cotton ones. And we all know that most of us will pick them off the floor and shove them back in the box (As long as it's relatively clean) and then probably use them later. So again, more hygienic depending on your habits. Anyway, I do really recommend this. I feel like I can use it for years if I treat it right, you create less waste, you get a little pride in such a tin, simple thing. Until it becomes commonplace like it should.

Overall Good
Bought as a replacement for an earlier one I have lost. The quality has dropped for the plastic case, as it is quite flimsy now. But the bud itself still good quality.

Expensive and fragile
Overpriced for what they are, but they do the job.Built to break, expect to buy again in three months...tops!

Great for purpose
Bought this to use cream without it being absorbed into normal cotton buds and now wouldn’t be without. Easy to clean and no wasted product. The case is durable and perfect size to slip in a pocket.

Wouldn’t go back to cotton ear buds
Took a few weeks after purchase to pluck up the courage to use these, after reading reviews and seeing the nobbly bits ‘in the flesh’, thinking they’d be uncomfortable. After having a few goes, figuring how to work them best to suit my ears and how best to clean the buds, I’m not looking back - I’ll never use a disposable cotton buds again. What works for me with these is rotating motion on the way in and out of the ear, not toooo far, loads can be picked up. I don’t find them uncomfortable. All ears are different I’m sure. I’ll wipe the bud after each in/out with a bit of loo roll/tissue (rather than washing as I find this is more effective for removing the wax). I’ve been using these buds for about a year and a half now at time of review.

OUCH!
I loved the idea which is why I purchased a couple of them. But the rubber is hard and bumpy and it was really painful when i tried to use it in my ear. Very little earwax came out, and washing it was even more painful as it didn'r really clean properly with soap and water. Went back to normal cotton buds and the amount of wax that came out despite using this product showed me that it just doesn't work. Don't bother buying - waste of money the way it is built right now. Shame, as it's an honourable idea and I really wanted this to be a great alternate to cotton buds. But it's a no from me for now.

Very pleased with these swabs. They get the job done without leaving residue. Much better than disposable cotton-tipped type.

This reusable "cotton swab" is a pretty nifty and eco-friendly alternative to traditional Q-tips, especially if you’re trying to reduce waste or in a bind while still satisfying that post-shower ear-cleaning urge (since even though it says not to use it on your ears, we all know that everyone is going to). It's overall pretty functional, and well priced, for a silicone-like solution. The included storage case is compact and convenient for travel, though I do wish it locked closed a bit more securely, but that's just a nitpick, not an overall concern. The swab itself feels sturdy and well-made, I even flexed it a little and pulled on the ends and they held up fine so far. The one I got came with two different ends, one that’s more pointed and one that’s rounded like a traditional Q-tip, which was a nice surprise since that wasn’t super clear from the images. The dimples on the swab do a decent job picking up wax and providing that light scratching sensation people tend to seek, though it’s not quite a full replacement for traditional swabs if that’s your everyday habit. Still, it cleans well under running water with soap, dries easily, and is soft enough to not feel uncomfortable in the ear. All in all, it’s a clever tool that’s especially useful for travel or to have on-hand in a bind between more thorough cleanings. Would definitely recommend if you know what you’re getting, and are aiming for an easy and space saving travel solution!
