These were a last second purchase for my sons Halloween costume. Needed something “neon” for an electric eel. They were so easy to use, good value, could trim them to fit easily and they looked so good. They were a little dim in bright light but boy when the lights went out they were the coolest looking lights! Would buy again for something else if I needed to!

works as it says... does have a high pitch sound... wasn't an issue for me because I wore at an event with loud music. If you're in a quiet environment you'll hear it... so make sure that's okay.

The media could not be loaded. I had purchased the 10m of white and two of the 5m of red.As you can see it definitely makes the bike more visible AT NIGHT. But if someone's headlights look directly at it, or a bright street light, it's not as visible.So far they are working very well. The red during the day actually looks like it's on almost dew to how brightly colored it is when the light hits it.In the video the front red light look dimmer, that's because it's battery is almost dead. I ran the front alone for almost 5 days between work and home before adding the others on (also very cheap battery)The devices do make a small sound as the product description says, but it's not entirely that noticeable, especially if I'm in motion. I only hear it when I go to turn them off.Overall a 4 out of 5. I would have made it a 5 if the EL wire was on a spool and not just wrapped alone with a tie. It could help considerably for easy installation.

Easy to use but EXTREMELY DIM. Somewhere in-between wishing they were a little bit brighter to wondering if they're ON at all. Even my pic doesn't capture how truly underwhelming these are.Might be good for a kids project but that's iffy even if used in a complete darkness.Flexibility is decent enough. It uses a semi-rigid tubing that kind of keeps it's shape when bent. If you're looking for a "floppy noodle" type of el wire, this isn't it. It appears to be just a colored tube covering a white el wire. That may factor into why they are so dim.Cutting seems easy and straight forward. Although I didn't test this out.Battery pack emits a faint high-pitched squeal. Kind of like when you're taking a hearing test and you have to raise a corresponding hand to which ear the beeping is in. Not noticeable with ambient sound.Before beating yourself up for buying the cheapest on Amazon, note that almost all of these el wires utilizing a AA battery pack are the exact same item. Be thankful you didn't pay a higher price for a lesson learned.

It’s not bright and it does not give off a “max” glow for el wire. I’ve used el wire a lot and bought it to give an eerie glow to a costume, but it did nothing than to appear as a red line in the dark. I’ve had ones give off a high frequency noise and ones that don’t but gave off the desired effect, and this had no noise and no real glow. If I hadn’t already sewn for 6 hours the entire chord into the robe then I’d return it.

Awesome update to my 10-year-old el wire that wasn’t really glowing anymore.- Didn’t realize that the driver has a blink mode, which was a pleasant surprise, as my prior driver doesn’t connect to this one turns out, and the blink mode really helps to conserve battery.- Yes there is a high pitched whine that comes from the driver if you put it right up next to your ear. Think mosquito whine. But if you’re doing anything beyond sitting in a silent room, I can’t see this actually being heard. This is very common for low-voltage drivers. You definitely won’t hear it if you’re at burning man just so you know- The yellow I purchased is incredibly bright in the dark. El wire is definitely for use in the dark. Also, red and pink wire tend to be less bright, because wavelengths of light and science and such.Really stoked to have found this! Halloween mailbox arrow sign is back in action this year thx to this 🙌

I purchased this to use on my 25 ft totum at a 3 day music festival. The illumination wasn’t very bright and worst it stopped working after 4 hours on the first day of the festival. I am disappointed, I would not recommend buying this.
