It's the other way arround. The clock is never lit, the numbers you see are the reflection of the ambient light. In night time, the clock is pitch dark. It iluminates for 10 seconds when you hit the light button in top and when the alarm starts.

For alarm does it have weekday/weekend mode?

No the clock does not have a separate mode for weekdays and weekends.

Is the the backlight more of a blue, grey or white color?

backlight is a blueish gray. really cool. I love this clock!

can 5 minute snooze be multiple by tapping the snooze 3 times to add up to 15 minutes?

Yes, when the snooze function is activated the alarm will sound again after 5 minutes, so technically it will lengthen the alarm time duration by 15 minutes if snooze function is activated 3 times.
