Will yhis item work on horow 8737?

Don't buy this component, because while it will work, you're not going to like the results. My toilet ran like a whisper before--then I used this replacement valve kit and the toilet works--REALLY LOUD. It wakes people up in the other room (the bathroom is connected to the master bedroom). Get a better version from someplace else like Lowes or Home Despot.

No. This is not the correct piece.

How do you secure the valve to the screw

The top half of the flush valve twists off exposing the screw and metal piece that will hold the valve down. Loosen the screw allowing you to fit the bracket into the water drain and then tighten up the screw which will tighten up the flush valve. Then twist and lock the the rest back.
