Penguin Modern Box Set

Absolutely brilliant! Really great mix of short modern books - great box; great books - simple but effective and a great price.Needed a week for delivery time.Bought as a gift - recipient loves them - worth the wait!

A great purchase from start to finish- I got the set on a huge discount, it arrived sooner than expected and in great condition, absolutely no issues with the packaging. Also, I ordered from the EU and did not have to pay customs which was great.

Good to be able to sample the works of such a wide variety of authors. Makes a nice gift. Arrived early and well packaged.

Had my eye on this set for a while, as a 50th birthday present for someone. It's a lot smaller than I imagined from the picture, with each book having only a 5mm spine x 160mm height, but that's not the seller's fault. The dimensions listed are accurate - I just didn't notice them.The small size does make the utterly bonkers typeface even harder to read, but, again, not the seller's doing, and its morbidly fascinating irritation was part of the appeal.All 50 books present and correct - no duplications or omissions - and I love the pale green colour, which is exactly as pictured.Only four stars, as bigger would have been better, but a good buy otherwise, especially as the bottom of the case gives the price as £80.

Please note the Kindle Edition of what I bought assuming it was the digital version of the Penguin Modern Classics, was in fact just a list, of the classics... refunded.

Good purchase, especially when you get them on a deal. A welcome distraction.
