HicarerClock Movement Mechanism Battery Operated DIY Repair Parts Replacement with 2 Pairs of Short Hands (Shaft Length 4/5 Inch/ 20 mm)

Very simple battery powered (one AA) clock motor with three different hand options.I purchased a skeleton clock for my wife many moons ago when she was collecting such things and it has worked pretty well from the day of purchase. Unfortunately over time for whatever reason the clock motor stopped working. As I had no idea what to do about that, it just sat in a cupboard for some time. I finally had a bit of inspiration this year and hunted down this unit on Amazon.It was delivered fairly quickly so I didn't have to wait long to try and fix her clock. The shaft length is about the most important part when buying these items, so make sure whatever you order matches what you are replacing. If not, you are likely to have problems. Surprisingly, they are not all a uniform length.Anyway, took the old one out, replaced it with this and I let my wife select which hands she wanted - which ended up being the curly ones in the middle of the promo image. With a little bit of fiddling they seat perfectly on the spindle and run round the clock face without hitting any of the furniture around the clock face. It's not wholly accurate and loses about a minute a day, so needs to be adjusted for correct time, but as it's mostly a show piece I don't mind so much.This is extremely easy to fit, the hands clip onto a stepped plastic shaft, and they only fit one way so you can't get it wrong. Most importantly though, it works straight out of the box. Took me about 10 minutes to remove the old motor, and about 15 minutes to put this one in; part of that time was spent making sure the shaft didn't wedge onto the sides of the hole in the clock face. Can't fault this really, simplicity itself. Job done, happy wife, who could ask for more.

Did what it said "on the tin" - easy to install and worked first time!

This saved me a lot of money simply by replacing the clock mechanism. Took 5 mins to fit, and my old kitchen clock is up and running again.

Very high standard clock mechanism, easy to install and sin=ce fitting, has maintained excellent accuracy. The only complaint is the hands are too shiny, particularly the second hand, which is a rather garish gold. In some lights and from some angles the time is difficult to read. But that's a minor gripe. Overall very satisfied.

Good value for the price. Extremely quick delivery. Unfortunately the shaft was too wide to go through the clock so I am giving the set to someone who makes clocks out of pieces of wood

We had an old clock that recently stopped working. After looking to replace the clock entirely, we decided that is was best to just replace the mechanism. The kit was delivered quickly, easy to install and works smoothly!

Was good but didn’t fit.

My sister-in-law made a leather clock from a kit from Tandy in the mid 70’s and 50 years later, the mechanism failed. This replacement works perfectly. The hardest part is getting one with small enough hands for the clock and in a design that we like. Make sure you measure (twice) before ordering.

Remplace un ancien mouvement mécanique sur une horloge ancienne (en cours de restauration). Montage en une heure pour adapter le mécanisme. Ensuite, on a une ensemble qui ressemble bien à l'original, ce qui était attendu. Compte tenu du prix, c'est très intéressant. D'autre part, l'exactitude de l'heure est très appréciée.
