Easily MIDI up keyboards like the old days
When Midi was invented you could plug two (or more) keyboards (assuming they were equipped with Midi sockets) together and play one with the other. Simples. Then along came the 2000s and keyboard manufacturers switched to USB Midi. WHY??? You had to use a computer as an intermediary. Not ideal, particularly if said computer runs one of those ghastly operating systems like Windows. This little box solves all that. Use the supplied USB-B-to-USB-A cable, USB-B into a keyboard with only a USB midi socket. Plug USB-A end into the box. Connect an old school 5-pin Midi cable between the box and a keyboard with 5-pin Midi socket. You'll need another USB-A-to-USB-B (not supplies) to power the box. Then, hey presto, you can play your keyboards with Midi just like the old days :)

Simple, converts between MIDI interfaces easily
Bought this to use a USB MIDI controller with my other gear that only has 5-pin DIN connectors. Works absolutely fine, completely seamless. You will need a USB power supply with a USB-B connector to power the device though, fortunately I had one lying around

It works
Used this to interface a Behringer XTouch Mini with an X-Air digital mixer for control purposes. Just be aware that you will need to obtain a USB power supply separately.

Good value midi host
A big saving on the Kenton equivalent, a very useful piece of equipment that takes up hardly any space. Very happy so far with this item
