I have a number of macaws as pets and a couple of cockatoos. If you have parrots, you know toys for them can be very expensive, and none of them last very long. Although we do make wood toys for our pets, they seem to really enjoy chewing on, shredding, and unbraiding, the rope toys. I hang these from the top of the cage using a chain and a quick link.When buying rope toys for parrots, it's important they are made of cotton. Other materials can be harmful to their digestive system if swallowed. It's also important to remove the rope toy if it becomes too shredded as parrots can entangle their feet and legs in them. Having been a parrot breeder for over 30 years, I have found that the rope toys can be beneficial for parrots that pluck as they tend to chew on the toys rather than their feathers.Since these rope toys are inexpensive, it won't break the bank to replace them. The reason for a 4-star rating instead of 5-star is that these rope toys are only 1" in diameter. Judging from the product page, the diameter of the braid is the same for all of the longer lengths. Whether buying these toys for a large chewing dog or for parrots, a 1" diameter won't last very long. Even so, considering the price, I would buy them again and recommend them.I hope this review was helpful for you.

Well I thought it’d be a great idea because my dog chews through the most durable plastic so this has to be a better option? Nope. If your dog has strong jaws I wouldn’t take a chance with these. My dog turned it into floss, completely unwound everything and tore it in half within an hour or two. If you do try it, keep an eye on your dog to be sure.

It does what a dog toy is suppose to do, gets played with and chewed on, how to review something so mundane, let's ask my dog,He says he likes it, good texture and quality fibers, enjoys it, and I didn't pay a lot for it, so there's your review.

This rope has held up well for our 65lbs boxer mix. She doesn't chew it but likes a strong game of tug-o-war. It's a good thickness for larger breed dogs. Will definitely repurchase and I would recommend to others as well.
