After an hour of trying to get the unit reinstalled (the fiber gasket needed replacement). I went back to the old hardware except for the gasket and had it installed in a few minutes. Unfortunately, I could not find just the fiber gasket in hardware stores or on Amazon so I bought the install kit. So I paid a lot for a simple gasket.

I have a .5 HP waste king that's about 9 years old and this thing worked getting it mounted back on after a sink upgrade. You NEED this if you are upgrading as the old assembly is trash.

For some reason this item it not in most local hardware stores. So, I was a little hesitant to order. It fit perfectly and is of good quality. Good price value too.
