Excellent Value - Works Well
To be honest, I wasnt expecting much considering the cost, but my 30 year old alarm system failed. I liked my old hard wired system, but the replacement cost was silly money, considering I'm now at home most of the time. So I looked for a cheap wireless replacement that wouldnt break the bank and was easy to install. I chose the Eufy system mostly because I like the look of the Keypad. The keypad has a small motion detector which lights up the keypad when one approaches it so easy to find in the dark. It also has a panic alarm button should you need to summon help.At 72 and not the most nimble person, I managed to get the whole system up and running within a couple of hours, so I guess one could say its very easy to setup. The most difficult part was removing the hard plastic wrap from the batteries. I was very impressed with the build quality of all the components, which all worked without fuss.My niggles... The system is very reliant on using a smart phone. Its easy enough to use and set up but the four instruction books are slightly annoying at the information they leave out. When I first set up my system I was unable to set a leave/return home delay from the keypad without it going off. I did discover by accident that I can alter that using my smartphone but along with other things its not documented. I would also have liked a smoke detector module but sadly Eufy don't do one; But its no deal breaker. For a no frills alarm system that works straight from the box this Eufy system takes some beating, and I am very happy with my choice.

Great first alarm kit
After being impressed with the Eufy 1080p doorbell, I purchased this alarm system when it was on offer as it never hurts to have extra protection for your home.To begin with, you do get what you pay for, this is by no means a 'professional' system, far from it, but to be able to add-on cameras and other sensors makes it very versatile and practical for someone who rents and may need to take this system with them when they vacate a property.Set-up was a breeze and faff free making it quick and easy to install. You get screws and sticky pads, but I went for the 3M command strips so not to wreck the wall as and when I need to take them down. In short, follow the instructions and everything will (should) 'just work'.There are a few niggles I have, the main being the actual alarm itself. The Homebase 2 acts as the alarm bell and isn't quite as loud as you want it to be but also if someone does break in and the alarm sounds, all they'll need to do is unplug it and Bob's your uncle, alarm and the entire system shut down. More annoyingly, if the burglar has any sense (not much hope there), they could either destroy the homebase or take it with them and all your recordings and events are gone (unless you pay for cloud storage... ... ... ...) However, that's a worst case scenario and that hopefully doesn't happen. I'm in two minds whether having the alarm actually sound is worth it, no one would hear it but with the instant notifications you get, you're able to act quickly should there be a problem at home... if there was an external bell box I would be more in favour of keeping the homebase quiet so attention isn't drawn to it should there be a break in.One final thought and one worth mentioning is the ability to have the homebase 'chirp' if an entry sensor is triggered making me rest easy knowing I'll know if someone else opens my front door.Another annoyance I had was integration however, this only applied to myself. When i got the Eufy doorbell and chime i thought it would be easy enough to add them onto the system. While you can and there is no issue, the doorbell will only communicate with the chime and not the Homebase. I was hoping to set up automation where if a PIR sensor was triggered, the doorbell will automatically start recording, but the doorbell needed to be directly paired with the Homebase rendering the chime redundant. To get around this I retured the 1080p doorbell and chime and got the 2K add on doorbell and that is now directly paired with the homebase allowing automation to happen with the doorbell. What is good is the ease to access and view the entire system away from home and even adjust the settings if need be plus adding other users if you need to.All in all, I'm impressed. For the price it was worth it in my books and am impressed with the Eufy ecosystem so far (I have an 11S robo vac (Bryan) who has been fault free for about 3 years now). I have no immediate need for any cameras but may look to invest in them should I ever need them at some point.

Great alarm system; harder to get the alerts working
Really easy to install with sticky strips (screw-mounts included), easy to set up using the base & WiFi. Managed to sort the whole 5 sensor system in under 15 minutes (2 door sensors & 1 motion). Reliably triggers when doors open or sensor goes off, weekly logs, remote phone control over the system.Only downside is the app, which isn't great for customising; default is to alert every open/close/trigger... It's possible to customise this to some extent, but no integration with IFTTT, for instance. Better control with the subscription apparently, but if you don't mind ongoing costs, I'd look to Ring or Nest.

Worth the money
I am really glad I purchased eyfy alarm system. It easy to install, I did not used the screws provided I used the stickers so no holes on the wall. It is wireless so no cables and I did it in few minutes . App is easy to use the only disadvantage is that the batteries provided are not rechargeable.

Its so easy!
I had this system installed and configured within about 30-45 mins of delivery, while "working from home". Just add/sync the devices through the app, stick them where you want them with the sticky pads provided, and away you go. I think the only issue was opening the door sensors to insert the batteries. I found it impossible to open them by hand the way they show you in the manual, but a flat head screwdriver in the notch and giving a little twist worked a treat. You can use the app to create your own custom settings for the whole system, and also for each device. The siren is built into the Homebase which obviously is inside the home, it is loud but too loud, and as much as I like the idea of external sirens I don't really recall too many neighbours taking notice them when I had one, but anyone inside your home will clearly know they've triggered it, plus you get the alerts to your phone so you will too. I'm going to look for a camera to integrate with it so that if it does trigger while I'm away, i can tell if its a false alarm. Definitely 5 stars!
