My Virtual Tutor: Reading 1st Grade to 2nd Grade

My 5 and 7 years kids just love it .Each stories are very well animated, the questions are relevant to the reading material, you can chose to record your own reading and replay it, it has drawing games too.my 7 years old is in 1st grade and love to go to bed with it. It is very relaxing and the story and very sweet.I think it is almost to easy to read and would have label it more k-1st grade versus 1st-2nd grade.Overall very good.Ps: your child does not have to be a great reader.

Kids got bored quick. Grafics not the best. uses a lot of battery when playing. it is a little easy for a 1st and 2nd grader.

I thought it was a great way to get her to read, but she refused to play with it. I guess my intent with this game was ineffective.

My seven year old was struggling in reading, this game made it fun to learn. The only negative was that there is not a lot of stories, she was done with all in a short amount of time

What a fantastic game this is and very user/kid friendly! I really wish we would have gotten this at the beginning of the school year instead of now when she has only a month left of 1st grade. It's too easy for her but is okay because it is working as a good refresher for sight words learned this year. I highly highly recommend this! In fact I'm going to tell the Kindergarten and 1st grade teachers at her school about it.

This game was a Christmas gift for my 6 1/2 year old daughter. She loves to read but has some issues with comprehension (reads too fast). This game requires her to slow down & pay attention since there are quizzes to complete after reading each story. She has done very well with it but I do feel it's a bit easy for her reading level. I am looking into further advanced games now. It also has a nice "Parent" feature on it where you can review how long it takes your child to complete the levels and see their accuracy scores for the quiz mode. Overall - great tool to use, it has replaced other non-learning games for interest level.

this is her first video game ever, and she really likes it! it isn't like learning to her, which is great....it's more of a fun thing for her to do. i would say this is more for kids who are having some difficulties vs actively reading, though. we're still learning the ds in general, so we haven't figured out all of the ins & outs yet. but so far, so good for my daughter. and her reading & interest in reading are both improving.

Works great and speedy delivery. My 8 & 6 year olds will love it. It actually is a nice learning game to have for young ones learning or still learning. Will update after Christmas about how well it worked for them. Thank you for this game. I tested it and I would buy from this seller again.
