Let Michael take you step by step building A Shovelhead style engine from the bottom up using new components. This is the first video we shot before starting Build A Hog. The video is shot in great detail with Michael explaining every step of the way. Please be aware that in the beginning (bottom-end) Michael mentions that the bottom end requires some very precision measuring. If you are not familiar with any of this it would be best to have a dealership or machine shop assemble the bottom end. Specialty tools used in this build are: Engine stand, Flywheel truing stand, Flywheel holder for your vice, Hand bearing press, Piston Ring compression ring and clamp, Torque wrench adaptor (Dog Bone) Tappet block alignment tool, Calipers, Dial indicator, Feeler gauges, and Micrometers. The new engine components manufactures are: Heads, Engine case, Oil pump, and Super E carburetor are from S&S Flywheels are 4 1/4 stroke from Truett and Osborne Pistons are 3 5/8 from Wiseco Cylinders are 3 5/8 from Drag Specialties Cam, Tappets, and Push Rods are from Andrews Rocker Boxes and Rockers are from Drag Specialties Please remember Michael has built several engines and bikes but can explain everything and give you tips and suggestions along the way.

My son requested this for Christmas and was thrilled to receive it. He is rebuilding his cycle and after researching, thought this was the best choice.
