Is this machine classed as a low shank when buying different feet for it

I would say it is low level although can raise the foot lifter to middle and high for extra fabric

What length is the throat space please

Not big enough for big projects such as quilting, I had to buy another machine for that otherwise thought the machine was amazing..

As to whether it is good or not I don't know, It was bought for my daughter and was her choice, she wanted it as a back-up machine for her Singer and she now uses it as the main machine. She does alterations for her clients.

I try to start sewing but when I start the machine the thread and material just gets all jammed up

I would check your machine is threaded correctly from the bobbin placed under the needle, once threaded from the top you need to ensure you have also caught the thread under neither and both should be visible on your machine and behind your threading foot
