Solid book if you have a good basic foundation
Best workbook I have bought so far. I would definitely recommend it.I started this book with a solid foundation of basic vocabulary, but no real grammatical skills. I think if I started this book with no prior knowledge of the language, the exercises may have been too difficult. My only major critique is that the exercises call for vocabulary that it does not include in the glossary in the back, which can be frustrating. This is generally for nouns, but I have seen a few verbs it has asked for that I cannot find referenced anywhere. I usually just find the word or leave it blank and write it in red when I check my answers later, since the answer key will have the correct word. The app accompaniment is not very in depth, but it is free. It is not just for this book or just for Spanish, but the specific book can be chosen from the library in the app. I would've preferred a more specific accompaniment with some type of key code or something to gain access to mobile exercises or a digital version of the book. That being said, I have already learned a lot from this book. It is the third workbook I have bought in the past couple months, and is the only one I have been able to stick with and have felt progression from.

Great content, but it's frustrating examples are pictures - can't cut/paste or search
I'm an intermediate learner. I'm going through this book to reinforce my understanding of Spanish grammar. It's an excellent resource, and I like that the vocabulary is appropriate to my level. The major flaw is that only the explanations are in text, and the examples are photos of text, and are small font and a bit fuzzy. What this means is that you can't search for a word that is in an example. For example, there is a good explanation about the subjunctive of "caber" and similar irregular verbs. But if I later want to refer back to it a search for "caber" I won't find it because it's in a photograph of text, not the text itself. Despite this flaw, which I hope they'll take the effort to correct in subsequent editions, I'm giving 5 stars because the explanations are clear and thorough. By the way, when you do an exercise and want to see the solution, it may be hard to see the questions and answers together depending on where the questions are on the page or if they span two pages. I solve this by reading the book on my laptop and having it open on my iPhone kindle app to check my answers.

Very Comprehensive and Added Interactivities
I adore these publications.I used the French ones when I worked as a French Instructor at the Foreign Service Institute. The explanations are very comprehensive and culturally sound for Anglophones (with a tendency for American English). The activities are backed-up with an online component, free of access.I am brushing up with my Spanish, which is already okay, and this book is helping me anchor the notions I have acquired over the years in that particular language. It does not disappoint at all. It is as good as the French one. Now, a word of wisdom: if you are an experiential learner, this book’s online component will help you with some audio and written key answers with the exercises in the book. USE THE ONLINE COMPONENT is that of your case! It will help you greatly.

Excellent Spanish Book
Currently about 150 pages and I love it so far. Seems to be covering all the essentials in a great orderly manner. Everything is explained thoroughly barring a few small critiques. I really wonder how my skill level be in spanish by the end of this book - its look promising so far. What I REALLY like about the book is the spaced repetition - meaning that when it introduces new words or grammatical rules, it keeps reminding you of those words or rules in the later exercises which is great for memory retention. If they didn't do this, I would have to make flashcards to make everything stick, but since they are so good at this. I feel pretty comfortable that if I just do all the exercises in the book in the order prescribed, I will end up remembering alot of what I learned by the end because of all the reminders of everything along the way.HOWEVER, I do want to note that I studied Spanish for several years nearly a decade ago, so much of what I'm learning I already knew at some point, so maybe this is what is making my recall good.

Well organized but examples are in a super tiny font
This is a very good grammar overview, concise but still with useful detail. The biggest problem is that, while the explanations are in a normal sized font (around 12 point), the examples are really tiny, about a third the size. So may 4 point? This makes it impossible to read comfortably. (This is on Kindle. Not sure of print edition.) I'd like to try more in this series, but I probably won't because of this issue.

Love this spanish grammar
This is not for beginners, It assumes you have maybe a semester of Spanish. It is very thorough and well organized; I guarantee you will progress steadily. What I like the most about this book, is that is contains a lot of small translation exercises (english to spanish), which, in my opinion, are the best way to retain vocabulary and grammatical syntax, despite what trendy "language" teachers tell you.
