The media could not be loaded. I enjoy watching my girls play with this ball. I wedge apples on the outside of it for easier access and also but cabbage and other items inside that they can pull out. Some food items have become too difficult to get out when it gets down to the bottom but overall it's something different that entertains them. I didn't have any trouble putting it together. Just squeeze one side to fit in into the other. No biggie!

Well I read the reviews and thought why not get them girls a treat ball for their goodies.1st off it is very difficult to open & close. 2nd after about 2 weeks one of the little bars came off. ( not made well )You have to pack each side and carefully & quickly close it shut while trying to push the metal prongs under the other side.For the $ spent I definitely won't be buying another one.I did pinch my finger in-between the sides while trying to close the ball and it hurt.I'd say its not worth buying.

The media could not be loaded. This is a must have for ur chickens! It will entertain them for hours! Bored chickens will bully so in order to keep peace they must have something to do! Just put a few veggies or fruit and hang it in the yard, that's it! So easy to clean, great price and this product is sturdy! I have 10 ckn that play with it and I love it so much I plan on ordering more!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. This product is a joke. Tiny ball, not even big enough for the smaller average size lettuce bulb. The string is WAY too short. And it rusted after 1 day outside in the humidity. What a waste of money. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

so there are two halves of the ball, a chain with a clasp and a hoop on the ends, then a weird u shaped thing. Put the hoop (on the chain) through the u shape thing, pinch the little ends together and shove them through the half of the circle with the little tabs- it does fit just put a little umph behind it.Also the two tabs on the ball are different- the one that is more hooked goes on first - works a lot better.Yes it's small, but how much do your chickens actually need?I like that the slats are small so the veggies don't just fall out

The ball/cage seemed to be exactly as advertised. However, the item was defective and would not have been able to be used as it was sent. The compression clip (graphic #2) was configured incorrectly, and would be unable to be compressed and fit through the top of the ball/cage. The circles at the end of the clip were facing inward, as apposed to outward (as seen in product graphic). This meant the clip could not be compressed to fit into the hole at the top of the ball/cage, and then be released to attach the chain to the clip to hand in the chicken coop. When attempting to move the circles to the proper configuration the weak metal snapped and broke off. This rendered the item useless with the current materials.If you purchase this item, immediately check the configuration on the clip. If it does not match the product graphic send it back immediately. Do not attempt to "fix" the problem as you will not be able to return an item you "broke."

I bought this for a friend who has chickens. It isnt necessary at all but i do think they enjoy it more than if it was on the ground.
