Very sensitive to location and distance to base station

The product was received promptly and works as expected. Set up was simple.

Would be 5 stars if they didn't limit to 0F as the lowest setting I had to bump up my temp in my deep freezer to account for this. 4 Stars because it works inside my deep freezer however my base station is very close about 8 feet away and about 2 feet above the deep freezer. Would be nice if I could from the control pad see the current temp.

Our house got broken into last year on Halloween while I was home. Someone came in through the back gate and was able to get the back door open. I worked nights and slept during the day and the dogs scared them as I think they thought nobody was home. I wanted something easy to install to keep our house safe and purchased multiple cameras, sensors, and alarms. This was perfect for me to set up and feel safer in our home. Then I realized I could have multiple purposes and it could help keep my dogs safe! We have the garage turned into a large room with furniture, dog beds, heaters, and air conditioners for the dogs while we are gone but always had a fear that the temperature would get too hot or too cold, or a fire would start while we were gone and unable to help the pups. I was able to purchase a temperature sensor to keep in there to notify me of the temp reached over or under a certain amount, and several fire sensors to put up throughout the house to get immediate help in case of a fire when we are not home. This has given me so much peace of mind and so many ways. I am so happy I have purchased this system!!

I bought this because we had our HVAC die on us on the hottest day of the summer last year. Thankfully we got home from errands and noticed a few minutes before it actually died but it was 88 degrees in our house! Another hour or two and our kitties could have potentially gone into heat stroke. I tested this by checking that it matched my hallway AC system temp at 78. It didn’t really fluctuate at all (which is good), so I decided to test what would happen if I put in the windowsill in the afternoon sun. When it got 1 degree past my upper limit of 86, our base station went red and had beeping (lighter sound and less scary than when the entry is triggered), I also got a text alert that my hallway temp monitor had triggered. It only took about 15 mins in the window for it to go off. This gives me peace of mind in the summer so I can do outside the house stuff without worrying about my fluffy boys at home. I did not buy this for cold sensor so I can’t say anything about that, it’s the heat that I bought it for.

This sensor communicates with the base station properly and reads an intial temperature but it never changes or updates. The only troubleshooting is to check the battery. I've deleted and reinitialized twice but it still doesnt work. Unfortunately, I was away and missed the 30 day return time
