much faster than my heater could warm up the car and was comfortable. The no cord feature allows me to drive ...
This product did everything as advertised. The first thing I did was measure my steering wheel (common sense) which took two minutes to make sure the product fit. When it arrived, I followed instructions EXACTLY to install; everything went as expected. The cover fit very snugly. The cover warmed up quickly, much faster than my heater could warm up the car and was comfortable. The no cord feature allows me to drive the car, manipulate radio buttons etc without the encumbrance of gloves. Subsequent to several uses, I lost the battery cover - I emailed the vendor who was immediately responsive and sent me a replacement cover at no charge. I will likely buy an extra battery, just so that I have one fully charged back up battery at all times. The cover works as described and the product support is excellent - I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone looking for the functionality I described above.

Wanted to love it - returned it because it's stupid design
I wanted to love this product - but the design is moronic and the materials of the pouch for the battery - the ONE thing you interact with every time you use it - is garbage - cheap cheap cheap - not at all like the rest of the product which seems to be well constructed. Also the instructions tell you to fasten the battery to the back of the wheel behind a spoke - yes the design of the pouch and it's straps makes that very difficult - I tried it on three different vehicles - it simply doesn't work well and seems like an afterthought. Finally, I left the thing "heating" for ten minutes and it was fairly warm to the touch - supposedly 110° - not even closeOnce agin - one of those products that seems like a good idea but fails in practice.Looks like I'll be wearing ski mittens to drive again this winter because this doesn't do the job

Goes on easily. Doesn't hamper driving and it's easy to deal with. I haven't yet used this during really cold temps. It was warm enough and may radiate more when it's colder. I wanted this for my fingertips that turn white in the cold. The heat coil placement means that it runs through my palms and not at my fingertips. Meaning I need to move my hands to non-driving-positions in order to have my fingertips on it. Update: When the weather got a little colder, I didn't really feel much warmth. And it didn't radiate. So I sent it back.

Doesn't get warm
I was able to fairly easily get the wheel cover on my wife's Chevy Volt steering wheel. The battery pouch does not mount that easily behind the bottom spoke (the ideal mounting spot) because that spoke is very wide on her car. I was able to mount it behind the wheel at about the 4 o'clock position, but she says that interferes with her hand positions some times (I don't think that's a great place to hold the wheel, but if she says she holds it there, then it won't work there). I will try to rig something up to get it to mount behind the bottom spoke. The battery pouch's cover does not have any place for the cord to come out from. This is a big oversight. There should either be a hole in the cover (I will probably cut one) or the cord should come out of the side (with a hole in the side). There should also be ready access to the power button and the lights so you can verify that it's one and the state of charge. The whole battery pouch seems very poorly designedI really haven't had a chance to test the battery itself for longevity while in use. For the brief amount of time I've used it so far it does appear to hold a charge and it charged up just fine.As for the heating itself, this is the unit's biggest flaw. It doesn't appear to heat very much at all, and only at the 10, 12 and 2 positions (which really, is probably okay as that is where you should be gripping the wheel anyway). Maybe you have to wait a long while, but after 5 minutes the unit was barely producing any heat at all. I am quite disappointed with this unit overall and would not recommend it.

Heated Steering Wheel Cover
Re: Glacier Heat Heated Steering Wheel Cover with Rechargeable Battery. The original product failed to produce satisfactory results. When notified, the seller immediately sent replacement battery; however, that didn't fix the problem either. The seller shipped (express) a new (complete) product, which we were told was touted to be an improvement over previous models. It worked, as advertised. The seller of this item did an outstanding job of working with the buyer to ensure 100% satisfaction was achieved.

BEWARE of danger if installed incorrectly.
After a slow start because the first one didn't work, I received a new design replacement. The heater now two wires where your fingertips and palm. HOWEVER, BE AWARE. The new version has a VERY long battery wire which can easily get caught and "lock" your steering wheel. It is easy to wrap the wire but DON'T let is hang lose!

Nothing but problems.
This product did not work. In addition to not working, it smells terrible. But I gave the seller a chance to fix the problem. They claimed the issue was a defective battery pack. So I waited for them to send a new one. I received it, tried again, and the darn thing still doesn't do anything except sit there and smell bad.To add insult to injury, since I attempted to get it fixed when it was initially broken instead of just sending it back, I am now outside of the "return period" and the seller doesn't want to give me a refund.

Works, but needed some battery mounting ingenuity.
Product on the wheel is decent. The idea of a cordless rechargeable battery is good, but the pouch did not attach correctly to the Jetta wheel. I really needed it to work and ended up using Gorilla glue on a heavy duty Velcro strip (like is used by E-Z Pass) and mounted on bottom/back of wheel. It now is easy to mount/remove. Wheel warm up long enough for the diesel car to warm.
