Helped Eradicate Spider Cricket Infestation
My little house sits above an unfished dirt basement where spider crickets were thriving and living their best life. If they'd stayed down there we could have lived all copacetic but unfortunately they began invading my house, coming up through the air vents in the floors. It was like something out of a horror movie. Every night beginning around 9:30 they'd creep up into my bedroom, crawl up the curtains, and often make their way into my bed. Pure nightmare fuel. I'd easily kill 8-10 of them every night in my bedroom alone.I used this Ortho Home Defense Max Indoor Insect Barrier in conjunction with Niban Granular Insect Bait (also purchased here on Amazon). Both have great reviews and I was desperate to eradicate the spider crickets ASAP. I applied the insect barrier liberally in the basement and sprayed around the air vents in my house. I also sprinkled the insect bait in the basement, around the perimeter of my house, and put out paper plates of it inside on the floor near the vents. The insect barrier had no strong scent that I could detect. The sprayer stopped working with about half the container left but I took to just sloshing it on the basement walls. It worked remarkably fast. The second night there were maybe 4 cricket invaders, the third night maybe 2. Then none. Over a month later now and I haven't seen a single spider cricket. I can finally go to bed without having to look over my shoulder (literally, sometimes I'd look over and these little buggers would be chilling right next to me) and I don't have to watch where I'm stepping for fear of squishing one under foot. The peace of mind is priceless. An added bonus is that this (and/or the Niban Granular Insect Bait) is killing other creepy crawlies like centipedes which I detest even more than spider crickets. I could not recommend this product (and Niban Granular Insect Bait) more.

Insect repellent
Works great! I spray my outside three times a year and it really helps with keeping the insects out. It is very durable and the container does not leak.

Sprayer Is Bad
Package arrived and I opened it up and read the instructions and tested it out in a few spots where I knew there was a lot of insect activity. At first the sprayer wasn't spraying very well but after I held it down for 10 to 15 seconds it started going just fine. The next day I decided I'd take it and I cover all the areas around the house. But to my surprise the sprayer wasn't working very well. I thought okay well maybe some of the liquid inside dried up so I check the nozzle tip and nothing was there. I made sure the cap was in the "ON" position. I took the cap off and place the hose down in some hot water to clear the line. Still couldn't get it to spray. At this point it wasn't spraying anything whereas before it was at least putting out a little bit of liquid even though it was just dribbling out instead of spraying. I noticed the water wasn't even able to make it up the tube as well.I ended up taking the entire wand apart to make sure there weren't any kinks or anything else wrong on the inside. After finding nothing wrong I reassembled the wand and I put brand new batteries in that I knew were good just to make sure the batteries hadn't gone bad. Nothing.Started checking around online for solutions. Found one video saying to hold the bottle above the sprayer. That didn't work but what ended up working was tilting the bottle on its side. This works temporarily but it1. Makes it annoying to hold2. Once the liquid level goes down enough itwon't be able to grab the liquid. In short the product (the pesticides inside) works great. The sprayer is crap though. I suggest just buying refills or concentrate and putting them in your own sprayer.
