Anolon Classic Stainless Steel Universal Covered Steamer Insert

I had used those folding leaves type steamers forever, and finally got tired of replacing them every couple of years when they fell apart, so I popped for this one. Very glad I did. I am using it with my grandmother's ancient (well over 50 years old) Revere Ware copper bottom pans, and it works very well. I like the glass lid just on its own too. I have a small Anolon non stick saute pan, and this lid fits it perfectly and, bonus!, is see through, so I can keep an eye on my morning eggs. I have kept my folding leaves steamer for occasional use for larger quantities -- like if I need to hard cook a dozen eggs instead of two to six. But, that lone exception, this is 1000% better. I have never purchased an Anolon pan that I haven't loved.

Fabulous product! So nice and heavy. Fits many different size pots!

Love it! Fits perfectly on my cuisinart 1.5qt and 3qt sauce pan (see image), great for steaming vegetables, making baby food, reheating 1-2 servings of frozen baos or xiaolongbaos. For some reasons I never liked cleaning the traditional collapsible steaming basket, but this attachment doesn’t give me that feeling at all. The only drawback is the handle on the glass lid gets quite hot after steaming, so need to remember to use an oven mit/kitchen towel when removing the lid.

I bought this to complete a stainless 12-piece Tramontina cookware set that I adore but that was missing a steamer and it's perfect. It fits several differnt sized pots, is easy to clean, does a lovely job.

Im really enjoying being able to use this on all my pots. Its came in handy steaming up my babys food. Its made well and easy to clean/ use.

Mostly good but water doesn't completely drain out of the steamer. I like to steam kale in advance for the week, but if I put this it in the fridge (after emptying water out of the saucepan) water sits in the bottom of the steamer and doesn't really drain out of the holes so the kale stays wet and gets slimy. I have not had this problem with previous steamers.

This is a nice sturdy well made steamer insert. Best of all it works on all my pots, three different sizes, so I always have a pot available for steaming. The lid fits well and I am glad that I made the right purchase.

Fits all sizes of pots, worked great with our existing steamer pot.

Very pleased with the price point and overall quality . Some comments from others mentioned stains on stainless steel ( from foods that are likely acid type )... I would use Baking soda or Bar Keeper's Friend for those issues , if / when I encounter them.. thus far few x used and no problems at all. Handles and lid are well made / designed. Very practical for steaming all sorts of foods.

I certainly consider this worth the money. We went through a lot of the flimsy, folding steamer baskets that would just separate and fall apart. This steamer insert fits all three of our pots (2-quart, 3-quart, and, 4-quart) without a problem, and this allows for more control over the quantity of food to be steamed than the little folding basket steamers allowed for. It's well made, easy to clean, and, is easily stored away (which is great for those with limited space, as it can sit in one of your pots when being stored and is versatile with fitting three pot sizes).

Acabo de recibir la vaporera y está muy bonita, se ve de buena calidad, el material no es delgado, y por la forma que tiene si entra en varios tamaños de olla que tengo en casa, el único detalle es que es pequeña en relación a lo que yo esperaba. Las medidas que publica el vendedor son dimensiones para que lo consideren antes de hacer su compra. Yo esperaba que midiera 27.9 cm de diámetro en la parte superior, pero sólo mide 20 cms (supongo que los 27.9 que viene publicado es con todo y las asas). El diámetro inferior es de 15 cms. La altura sin tapa es de aproximadamente 10 cms.

Bought this to make baby food easily. Works very well. Cleans easy. Seems to be well made.
