Boker Plus Anti-MC Folding Knife with 3-1/4 in. Straight Edge Blade

I was looking for an everyday carry knife, i have a new job that requires me to be in a shirt and tie so this clean cut knife works great. This knife has top quality materials carbon fiber and ceramic. Ceramic is super sharp but brittle so this knife is great for light duty jobs.(not that its not tough but i wouldn't want to chip the ceramic) Cutting tape, paper, cardboard and other soft materials that don't require much force. This knife feels good and has a sharp edge. Ceramic is harder to sharpen but its edge will last longer and i will most likely be using the diamond sharpener. This knife is exactly what i wanted a light, clean looking, light duty, sharp knife. Is sits deep in my pocket and does not stand out. its also not bad just having it sit in your pockets not clipped on. If you are looking for a knife to beat up this is not it. but if you want something super light, sharp, and sleek this is what you need.

I am very impressed with the overall quality of this knife for the money. It looks and feels very nice. The knife comes in a nice magnetic lid box with the blade open and a cleaning cloth to get all the finger prints off of the mirror finish blade. (of course people can't help putting their fingers on shiny stuff!) It's super light for it's size. The blade opens very smooth and can be done with a flick of the wrist. The liner lock is easy to operate, No problems with sticking or anything like that. I was not expecting it to be super sharp, It's sharp enough, but all of my benchmades and kershaws came sharper. There is a reason for this. Ceramic is brittle! If you make the edge too thin it will chip too easily. Ceramic blades are great for abrasive materials (rope, cardboard) but they are not for heavy duty use. And despite what you may have heard they WILL go dull. You can send them to Boker to be resharpened for the cost of shipping. If you want a nice light, light duty knife. This one is great. If you want a tough do all EDC, Look elsewhere.

This is a very lightweight pocket knife that is extremely sharp, thanks to its ceramic blade. Comes with a deep-carry clip so it slips into your pocket nicely. The blade is very sharp that makes it a great EDC knife. Keep in mind ceramic can, and will crack or chip under impact. So longevity of the blade really depends on your usage and care. The carbon handle looks great and the blade flips open fairly well if less smooth than ball-bearing mechanism type. Overall, it's a great-looking knife that is both light and sharp.

One of my fellow soldiers owns this knife and was showing it off. I liked it so much I decided to get a Boker Plus Ceramic Knife for myself. This Boker is so lightweight! I forget I'm carrying it in my pocket sometimes. It has a built in pocket clip. I like the black color of the ceramic blade. I used to own an m21 crkt but after buying this knife, I only carry this one now and it's less than half the weight of the m21 crkt. This Boker hasn't got dull yet and I use it very often. It comes in an authentic Boker storage case box and cleaning cloth. This is a GREAT price from amazon too. I remember when Boker started making the ceramic blades they were close to $150 for the same product I received. The only con's i have are: -sending it back when it needs to be sharpened. -not being able to use it to pry things open. It is a great pocket knife! I'm very pleased with this purchase.

While a good knife, its construction is fragile. While in my pocket, the clip got caught on something and stretched out. This could have happened to any clip granted, but trying to fix it is where this knife failed. Firstly, the tiny hex star bolts that hold the clip on are threaded directly into the carbon handle (no steel inserts or anything) and when trying to remove them, they stripped and pulled out rendering the clip unusable. Because the knife is somewhat loose and insecure when closed, I don't feel comfortable having it in my pocket floating around without the clip. The blade is sharp, and overall this knife is remarkably light weight which is why I was so excited for it. I got about 3 or 4 months of good use out of it before my clip conundrum, and perhaps would have had more if that wouldn't have happened. While still usable, I cannot carry it around as I have daily which is unfortunate. It's a good knife with less than quality overall construction regarding the way the clip is mounted to the handle which really is too bad. For the price, the bolts should be fixed into inserts, and not directly threaded into the low quality carbon fiber handle. I say low quality because I work with T700 series carbon which is build for structural integrity (aircraft grade) and for this application, it is unnecessary, but because it is lower quality, prepreg layered carbon, it should be accounted for in the manufacturing process regarding anything being tapped directly into it.

Bei meinem Messer, das noch gar keine echte Belastung gesehen hat, ist schon jetzt, nach etwas Herumspielen, ein Teil der Klinge abgesplittert, und zwar da, wo die Arretierung ansetzt. Noch kein Fall für den Mülleimer, aber das Mißtrauen gegenüber der Keramikklinge ist jetzt so groß, daß ich mich kaum noch traue, das Messer zu verwenden. Damit bleibt es ein nettes Spielzeug, mehr nicht.

El diseño es muy bueno y las láminas de carbono del mango junto con la hoja de cerámica hacen de esta navaja una de las más ligeras. Sin embargo, el liner lock no queda completamente bien ajustado. Es decir, si cierra bien y mantiene la hoja firme, pero cuando quieres cerrarla, raspa contra la misma y degrada la cerámica en la parte de abajo de la hoja. Vino entregado ya con parte de la cerámica de la hoja algo rota por lo mismo. No se advierte a no ser que veas justo dentro de la brecha de la empuñadura. Pero se ve y se siente cuando vas a cerrar la hoja una vez abierta.

La navaja es bellísima, la foto que acompaña esta publicación no se acerca ni un poco a cómo se ve en persona. Me arrepentí de comprarla para regalarla, porque era sumamente hermosa. Al p**o de mi ex le encantó. ¡Igual muchas gracias!

Los acabado son perfectos, la cuchilla de cerámica es muy filosa, se ve preciosa aunque no es para uso rudo, tal vez es solo para tenerla para pelar frutas o cortar papel. Me gustó mucho la combinación de materiales que la hacen ULTRA ligera.
