I ordered this in an XXL based on reviews and had to exchange it for an XL, my husband comfortably wears an XL in Carhartt relaxed fit tshirts for reference.

The listing said “original fit” but the shirt that arrived was labeled “loose fit” and was definitely better suited for someone with a lot more in the belly department than me. Still, it’s comfortable and good looking if a bit baggy, so I’m going to keep it. But Amazon needs to pay more attention to not-so-subtle product distinctions like this!

Before you purchase the, original fit, short sleeve Carhartt work shirt, be sure you know what you are buying. The original fit is a "loose fit", as distinguished from "relaxed fit". The "loose fit" is roomier than the "relaxed fit". So, if you desire a slimmer fit, don't purchase the original fit shirt. Although the information I am imparting, is reflected in the reviews, I suggest that Amazon amend its size description of the shirt to reflect "Original Fit (Loose Fit). Also, the photo of the shirt, being modeled by a man of medium build, who is not overweight, is misleading. Hopefully, Amazon will address that issue.

Seems to be sturdy and will probably hold up well like the long sleeve versions I’ve been wearing for a while. Wish they made lighter colors like off white or tam. The fit is somewhat larger than normal so I buy a size down (med rather than lge)

My Husband's biggest complaint about work shirts is that they are hot and the fabric does not breathe. He loves this shirt and said it is perfect for these hot summer days. It has a nice feel to the fabric like linen. Will definitely purchase more.
