Applied Welding Engineering: Processes, Codes, and Standards 2nd Edition

Having just finished it, I can say it is a worthwhile read for someone with an engineering background looking to learn about welding and processes. The content is not very technical; the small blurbs that try to be are largely irrelevant to the content that they are placed in. In some ways, it makes it more readable. Not being bogged down by chapters loaded with equations and technical content makes for better focus on the practical applications of welding.With that said, the content is very poorly laid out and the editing is even worse. It is riddled with typos and in one case there is an entire duplicate paragraph when describing GMAW.This book is useful for the novice engineer, or someone with practical welding experience looking to expand their welding knowledge base. I would not consider this a book that I would keep on my shelf and look to reference in a professional setting.
