This layer leveler is the best I’ve ever owned. The wire used to cut through the layers is sturdy and stays in place as it slices through the layers. It has a ruler on both sides to ensure the wire will provide a straight even cut.

Disappointed..seems very light weight so hope it lasts..arrived with shipping sticker stuck onto the cardboard box….instructions were on the outside of box..No cake scrapers as advertised.

I had a cheap, single wire, cake leveler that did not work well at all. After doing a lot of research, I decided to take a chance on the Bonviee Adjustable Cake Leveler. It does a really nice job of slicing through cake. The blades are sharp (be mindful of this when handling), and the ability to adjust the blade height is easy. It is 18" wide, so it can accommodate large cakes. Being large does make it a bit difficult to fit in the sink for washing, but I found sitting it on it's side to wash worked well. Do not make the mistake of taking it completely apart to wash. The manufacturer even warns against it. It is a real challenge to put back together. I would highly recommend this cake leveler.

The cutting blades are incredibly flimsy. If you want even layers - or any kind of layers - this is not the product for you. If you want a smooshed up mess of a cake, this is perfect. I've gone back to my simple Wilton wire cutter and it's vastly better than this total rubbish product. Used it once and binned it.

This product seems to work ok with soft cakes but not as well with pound cakes or any dense cakes. While the blades themselves are sharp and cut well, they do bend and shift position when applying force to cut through dense cakes. Also, its not so easy adjusting it to the right height and securing it in place. Looking back I would probably look for a leveler with "feet" so its stands on its own and I don't have to keep it in place and in balance all the time. Overall this product unfortunately is not for me :(
