It is accepted that this can be used as a REPAIR disk, it is not acceptable that is does not work. The files on the disk are not valid files and the error says that the setup.exe file is NOT DEISGNED TO RUN ON WINDOWS. What a waste of time and effort.

The last automatic Microsoft Windows update hosed up my old Dell XPS desktop computer. I could login but nothing would load, explorer would hang and I couldn’t get to System + Settings to rollback the update. Frustrating! I needed to boot up from DVD so I could do a Windows repair, but I recently moved and could not find my boot DVD anywhere. So I did some research on this item, and based on other customer reviews I decided to take a chance and order it. The DVD arrived the next day, I followed the instructions, and it worked perfectly!!! I was able to change my boot settings to boot off of the DVD and it allowed to go into repair mode and run the Windows repair process. When the PC rebooted, everything is back to normal. So glad I took a chance on this product! If you’re desperate, give this a try!!!!

only was given two choices repair or install. repair recovery did not work automatically went to install. let it do it thing got all the to the end "getting ready" for over an hour already/ instructions said it would take some time but so far not impressed.

It's the real deal, it save lots of family photo memories I thought I had lost.

I have an HP Pavillion computer that had Windows 7 Pro. Earlier this week I had to replace the Power Supply. After that, having a Windows 8 Pro upgrade disk I proceeded to install that and use this product to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. Setup stated the upgrade could not be done on this computer. I have a key but could not even get to that point. A total waste of money. Got upgrade elsewhere and it work flawlessly.
